well

I'll go in something rotary powered for sure this time.

As much fun as the GTR is I have like half a dozen wankel powered vehicles, I really should take one of them.

I'm tentatively down for the keys as well, it depends on the kind of bling I've got in my wallet at that point.

You bet your ***! I'm not ready for a change yet, three days in that cabin wasn't enough for me....

Although, without seeing the inside pictures, the only other one I'd suggest if people want a different cabin would be that "lookout" one that was up and to the left of ours when looking off the porch, I think thats the only one further up the mountain then ours

If we have a big enough group, we could rent both.

yeah I could have easily spent at least one more day there
maybe even several more. Just relaxing and exploring the countryside.

Bored, and posting int his thread.

Who all is going next year?

As far as that "lookout" cabin goes, I really liked that one too, they were both nice.

I hope they repaved the damn road, or I'm going in something that doesn't have a front lip.

According to Phil we might be staying in Fontana this year.

Not to say we couldn't rent the cabin in NV, but just that most people will probably be in Fontana....its also closer to the Dragon as I'm sure recall

What route do you guys normally take down? (cross at Buffalo, or Windsor etc.)
Been talking about it, and seriously thinking about going, but trying to figure out what I'm in for drive-wise, and how much of it would be 1 car before I could meet up with anybody.

What's a reasonable budget for this trip? How much did you guys spend on this trip this year?

I spent $770 on fuel. And I think the DGRR event was cheap. SO it was really under $1000 easy. Since that fuel and such was Classicauto and I staying in Florida etc.

It is actually not to bad if you all split hotels etc...........

Classicauto,
I took or rather booked two weeks off A few days before the weekend and a week off and some after!

Can't wait!

Note that the exchange rate this year may suck *****.

Redshift, last year we crossed in windsor. Ian is coming from kingston, which is quite some distance from windsor closer to you. That is one hell of a drive from NS.

Yeah, it's a long drive, but then, everything is a long drive from here.

I can cut a couple of hours off the trip by going through Maine, but then it would be a solo run pretty much the whole way.

Well, we *could* go through buffalo on the way down. Since its a cruise and all...

But yeah the trip can be done pretty cheaply. I mean, when I go its kind of like a vacation so I plan on that budget wise. But really I think all said done hotels, food, gas......not including the rebuild I did in FL ($800) I spent roughly $1500 and Ian and I were gone for about 10 days.
