Hah, well today I learned drilled/slotted rotors cannot be resurfaced! Ordered 2 blanks from autozone to use for the track day this weekend. It got pushed up to this weekend instead of the end of the month due to schedule conflicts for my parents ( they both track their 2013 Camaro SS's).
Car is about as ready as it will ever be - been driving it to work and doing pulls and taking logs to clean up small things - it hasnt ever been this good. I'm less afraid to touch the tune which is helping as well. One thing that started happening recently with the drop in air temp is I started hitting overboost protection. I was full tilt in 4th gear and around 6k RPM it popped and lost all power for a second. It took me a few minutes to realize I was now going over 200 kPa. After setting it to 210 it only hit it once or twice so its been moved up to 220.
Only minor thing that was left to do was fill in the air gap on the bottom corners of the radiator. With the undertray on, there was a 2 inch gap on each side of the bottom of the radiator to the frame rail extending about 6 - 8 inches down to the tray. I picked up some "weather stripping" from lowes and shoved it in the corners and took it up to about 120 mph to make sure it would hold. Seems to be working well.

Happy to report the car did excellent. Only a few small hiccups throughout the day. First was the downpipe nuts coming loose, then the turbo started pushing some oil on the compressor side leading to a pipe popping off a few times. Overall the coolant temps got to a high of 197!. Oil managed to get up to 210. Ambient temp was around 67-70 degrees. V-mount was definitely a success
Also, I finally took the time to move my engine MAP sensor from the LIM vacuum nipple to the UIM plenum area. MAP is much smoother now and no longer see huge jitter at WOT! Ill be able to pull a bit of fuel out of boost now that it isnt fluctuating constantly.
Here is a quick datalog showimg the consistency while on the track.

Just got informed of another day at NJMP set for November 14th. Few things to do before then:
Poly front sway bar bushings
NA LSD shim + installation
Intercooler pipes rolled
Alignment
Rear camber bar installation

Couple small updates - Got a PF boost gauge installed. Numbers match the megasquirt MAP reading MUCH closer now. The biggest reason for change was the inability to see through the smoked lens on the ProSport gauge during the day.
The other fix was getting the intercooler pipes rolled. I did a little googlin' and found a cheap and easy way to roll the pipes without having to spend any money. We had a couple of these butt connector crimper pliers laying around so I chopped it up and used it to roll the pipes. It came out pretty well! pipe hasnt popped off yet - if they do I will follow up.

Took the car to the track friday night. Didnt do well. Popped the trans again. T2 clutch should be here sometime this week. Turbo drivetrain will get installed. MS3 pro going in as well, then once I verify the car runs on the MS3 I will be putting a new turdblower in.

Wow awesome! Hope you enjoyed reading it! I've enjoyed putting it out here for everyone to follow. Next weekend might include some time to get the drivetrain swap started? Temps are finally getting down to the "wtf am i doing outside wrenching right now" area.
This weekend I got a few hours in on all the cars. The diesel has fresh oil and fuel filter. Just needs the tires in the basement put on; they are down to the wear bars currently. The NA got stock suspension put on to raise it back up for snow, oil change, and snow tires mounted on extra BBS wheels. Underside was sprayed with canned undercoating stuff - went on REALLY thick. I sprayed most of the seams to prevent any rust.
And then I got a good bit of time on the black T2. I blocked off the sub-zero assist system, the AWS, and another bit on the UIM as well. All other vacuum lines are connected and ready to rock. Intake is all plumbed in minus a few clamps on the boost couplings. A/C needs to go back in and the motor needs shimmied - when the shroud was put in the fan hit the shroud. It's filled with coolant and oil. In an attempt to prime the oil system I put a dead battery in it and got power from the NA. it spun at a lousy 20 RPM...barely moving haha. Also just found an airpump to toss in. That is the LAST major piece I needed! Here is how it sits currently!

Well weekend is over and I'm closer to being done..Air pump is in and plumbed. The motor wasnt in the drivers side mount hole. That is in and now the hood closes haha. The slow crank issue was rusty starter connections. Once sanded the car cranked and started right up "first try" that it actually moved at a decent pace! Exhaust is getting welded up tomorrow so it'll purr like a kitten. Once its drivable its off to the DMV for a title and then she will get sold!

I paid a good amount. $9k for it with 46k miles on it. I did a compression test and it came back with 110 PSI at 225 RPM so I figure it'll be good for a while. I'm on one of the facebook pages and people with 06-07's are posting up photos of 130k+ on the original engine so I guess there is some truth in that the newer ones did get sorted.
