Ah... Removing the MOP or as some call it "OMP". I, personally, am a fan of the MOP... So, you'll be premixing, eh?

Yes, the reason im doing it is because it is better for the engine to just premix than it is to have it burn the engine oil. It keeps it cleaner, lubricates better, and burns cleaner for better emissions, which I have to ubfortunately pass.

Onto here. Although, these look like pretty good condition, but nothing beats pretty much new.

Also got around to changing the diff fluid and cleaning the housing. Is it just me, or does it not want to take 2 qts like fc3s pro says it should?

I will soon be starting to sell a few items.
  • Fiberglass bumper guard
  • Metering Oil Pump (after a clean and inspection, lines and injectors don't come with. They were trash.)
  • S4 NA driveshaft (after I measure the runout and clean it a bit. Never had a problem with it or the u-joints)
  • S4 power steering rack (dont remember the VIN, but it's a blue sticker)

Everything can be shipped but at your price. This is not a sale thread so please don't ask for me for shipping quotes just yet. I will make a sale thread when the time has come. If you need anything though, just let me know so I can start to get things together and see if I need what you do or not.

Anyone want these? If so, I will rebuild them with new seals before shipping them out.

I'd say $100 each is pretty fair. All the seals and bushings replaced, and all surface rust polished out. I can also paint them both for an extra $10 for both.

So I was working on the car today, and started to attempt to sort out some of this wiring... Found out the switch was to the fuel pump. Ask me how I know.

Now I need to know what the hell wires does what. I'm fine dealing with the pump switch, I just find it completely unnecessary on a street driven car.

I also put the plastic back on, and of course broke it again, so I have re-epoxy it again.

Seems likely.

Some more progress, removed the LIM in order to easily get the middle gasket off and check up on those actuators. Will most likely take them out and clean them. Anyone know if it will be worth it to 'hone' the intake piping? I figured if there is any use, even a 1% increase in airflow smoothness, then why not. Also, is there a way to check that the actuators are working properly with the LIM off the car like that? The sleeves themselves turn with little effort, but that isn't to say that the actuators themselves don't work right.

It's almost time to start throwing everything back together again! Got my last set of parts today, and after some more cleaning and a new coat of high-temp ceramic paint, I can put it all back together and get read to put it in the car.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/globekidd/6307319876/http://www.flickr.com/photos/globekidd/6307319876/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/globekidd/, on Flickr

was an absolute bitch to get the middle gasket to come off, but after a loooooong time it all came off. Still need to get a little bit off around the bolt studs, but shouldn't be too much of a problem if I can't get it all. Also did a check to make sure my actuators are working properly, the video is below. I also took the abrasive wheel to them just to clean them up a bit. Looks good if you ask me. But the will most likely be painted with the intake manifolds. Then I took out the sleeves and gave them a good clean as well as the ports themselves. But I only used a rag for the ports, as I don't want to spray any sort of cleaner into the engine itself.

These are just the parts I ordered. I will be taking my injectors to be flow tested soon so that will be taken care of as well. The only things that aren't shown in the picture are the engine paint and rubberized undercoating. Winter is coming and this is my DD, so I need to take care of it.

Ebay shifter was died (sp?) to fit the new **** my buddy is making me, think of it as big shifter V2.

There it is on the lathe.

Getting the UIM prepped to be cleaned and painted. I took apart the throttle body and painted it all separately.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/globekidd/6311244730/http://www.flickr.com/photos/globekidd/6311244730/ by http://www.flickr.com/people/globekidd/, on Flickr

The LIM is completely done and looking good again, it's nice to have something not look 23 years old again.

And a quick shot of what has been painted so far. Just have been using VHT ceramic engine paint. Works well from what I have seen. I'll be picking up some black too to do some other accents.

Thanks Mac, I take a lot of inspiration from your build, so keep it up

A few shots before everything starts going back together tomorrow, I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting to have my car back up and going again... The engine hasn't ran since about August, so hopefully everything will be good. My gas/premix will be Shell 94 octane with Valvoline multi-purpose 2-cycle premix. I will consider going to the Idemitsu premix if you guys think it's worth it. I just don't want to spend more if I don't have to.

I will most likely buy a paint pen to clean up the letters, and I took a grinding wheel and polished up the top. Need to finish doing that though with mothers metal polish and steel wool.

Inspired by Mac, but with different colors. And still single pulley instead of dual.

I have to pass emissions in my county, and I dont have any relatives that live out of county to register my car with. I'm fine with it for now, one day when I have my own house ill be sure to live somewhere that doesn't care about how many carbon dioxides are flowing out of my exhaust.

Your friend has a nice Atlas lathe with the quick change gear box. I have the slightly older 10D model and to change gears you physically need to remove the gears and change them.

Hey guys just curious, how loud would a RB streetable header (2-1) to the RB presilencer to a corksport 80mm catback be? I've had the catback since about January and I'm wanting more power with the header/presilencer. Thanks for any help guys.

Really loud and obnoxious, especially around 3-3.5k when you're cruising at part throttle. Everyone within a half mile will know where you are.
