Glease - Project DRTO PWR
I'm still pretty green here, but going to post up my build.
This is my new project to replace my MR2. Rust free and low KM. Previous owner blew it up, so the engine was already out. He dyno'd his setup at 290HP.
Current Mods-
MegaSquirt II v3.0
Hybrid Turbo (Stock hot side, Garrett 60-1 Cold)
1600CC Secondary Injectors
Koyo Aluminum Rad
Walbro 255
4" Exhaust
Air pump delete
Lightweight steel flywheel
Some sort of JDM Coil overs
Stainless Brake Lines
Picking it up:

aven't updated this thread in forever! Lot's has happened. The car is currently running and driving, just waiting on parts for my new rad fan set-up so it will stop running too hot.
Here's what I've been doing the last few months:
This is the manifold I bought from the car I picked up in Muskoka. Made it work with my wastegate, and straightened all of the gasket surfaces.
Welded the V-Band for my wastegate
CNC Sexy Logo
Bent

Using these wheels this year. Had them left over from my MR2 project.
Paint
New tires
Sexy new pedals (my favourite part of any build)
Cleanup up the MegaSquirt wiring and labeled things.
All back together under the carpet
Got my gaskets and engine!

Blow off Valve
Not my best welds...
The engine arrived finally, waited 6 weeks for it. It's a Large Street Port engine, freshly rebuilt.
Assembling
Lots of work later, lol
manifold had a few issues with the turbo i'm using, so I'll be using it later with a bigger turbo.

Looks awesome, and I can only dream of what I would do with those tools/skills. One question though, with the attention to detail to everything else, why leave that UIM looking like rubbish? I wouldn't have taken long to clean and spray it and it would have made the bay look like you put the time into it that you obviously did.

Thanks a lot, lots of cool parts to come!
Haha, I knew this would come up. I had so much on my plate with Megasquirt and what not, that I decided to just leave the engine as is until it was figured out, I had the UIM off a good 10 times getting the car running.
I've learned from building my last car that making things shiny too early is stressful, and usually ends up getting done again.. I do appreciate your keen eye!
Built an extended slave cylinder rod, my clutch is isn't releasing all the way and I need this as a band-aid for now. Stainless of course
Buffed the car, no beauty shots until I figure out my rim situation.
Cleaned the interior finally..
