hey furb, won't the new solid subframe bushings render the tc-sportline camber arm useless? I was told that, that arm was dependent on the OEM bushing's flexibility to flex, and allow the subframe to move up and down?
Won't your new bushings just make the subframe too stiff to do that?

Haha yeah i noticed it yesterday!
Was a great event, couple of friends compeed in time-attack. One of them being a 510hp e85 powered FD.
He finished 6th in the highest class.
got myself 2 tracksessions at the end of the day, got a good feel of the car but again, i got some things for improvement...
I nearly popped The engine due to lackof fuel in a fast left corner. Ran A/F 20.5 @ 14psi for about 2sec...
So i need to fabricate a swirl pot with an extra fuelpump!
The car is still slightly understeered but thats an easy fix with some minor camber/damping and tire pressure changes.
Got my alignment specs from a teammember of the UK timeattack FC.
Watertemps got a bit high to my liking, 110*C, probably due to the oil cooler being right in front of it.
Oil was 100-105*C
so i have to see if there is anything i can do about that...
And i got some more news: my bnr stage 4 will be ready in a few weeks
Ill post up some pics of the track soon!

•fully balanced
•360 degree thrust bearing
•billet seal plate
•T04B package
•60-1 comrpessor wheel/P trim turbine wheel
•CNC machined turbine and compressor housings
•ported wastegate
•adjustable wastegate actuator
compared to stock:
in about 3 weeks i'll be slapping this baby on!

old vs. new:
Turbo where it belongs
master @ work
little difference at first sight, just the 3inch intake instead of 2,5inch to provide enough air
Started tuning myself so i can drive the car safely to the UK next month for a decent remap.
got it safe on 0.7bar wastegate pressure, just need to work out the rich idle problem...

actually, i forgot...
i changed the 750cc primary injectors back to 550cc.
with the 1600cc sec injectors i will have plenty of fuel and i dont want the insane rich idle i could not get rid of. lag time adjustment is just not the way to do it!

Hey Furb Great car wonderfull work.
I was wondering if you would be going the AI route sometime in the near future the only reason i ask is beacuase im running a setup that almost mirrors yours (turbo/fuel ect) But im not sure as to what kit/amount of AI to run and was hoping you had some input as to what you might do with you car.

well, i have the idea of doing it, but i dont know how what or when..
really havent figured it out yet as to me it is still a bit of a grey area regarding info.
seems like some people have done it right and others just follow their route?
but i think that when it is tuned properly i will stop modifying for a while and just enjoy driving it well, engine wise that is, i still have some suspension things i want to change, but that only takes time to fabricate. also time i dont have right now...
but maybe i will just skip the whole AI at one point and just cross over to E85 since it is getting easier to come by in a few years. friend of mine is running a 500hp FD on E85 and is running just 1bar with pineapple streetport and GT35. his injectors were too small to reach 1.5bar

Finally! tuning is done and it runs great!
in the end, i made 305RWHP
few notes:
ambient temperature: 30 degrees
leading coil is giving some issues, made this conclusion after using a scope.
running only 0.9bar, because the actuator needs adjusting (and also the temp doesnt help!)
i ordered a new leading coil and when everything is working OK i'll be upping the boost to 1.1bar. so there is a little more in it...
most important thing for me that the powerband is really good and everything is reliable!
there was absolutely NO knock, at all
Geff and the others at RE-Worx were seriously impressed by my stock ported engine (coming from guys who have built a 1200hp rx-8 drag car)
he said i will be enjoying this a lot and for a very long time and that;s what matters most!
RWHP vs A/F
we were unable to smooth out the transition any further, but on the road you dont even feel it anyway.
the curve in A/F in the end is due to the leading coil missing
Geff advised me to log and do some final adjustments as soon as i get a new coil, more boost and lower ambient tempratures
Torque vs Boost
