So I reviewed my logs today and : IGL was 11, IGT split was 10, Knock was 4, AFR 11.0-11.1:1, INJ Duty 67%, AIR TEMP 22*C, WTR 83*C.

????

It is a S5 front plate.............must be the early S5 plate aghhhhhhhhh!!!

BTW total time in video from 1st gear to 6K in 3rd was 8.5 seconds.....good motor while it lasted lol

let the car sit for a month and just think about it

btw, knock sensor reading is kind of useless sometimes. Is it located in the rotor housing or in the middle iron? I've been having good luck with 15 split lately. I don't know how some people keep cracking irons. I detonated my weak s4 irons a gazillion times and they never cracked...

Thanks guys...............I need to take the accessories off anyway to get all the pooled oil cleaned up down by the injectors and what not.

Really after that it is going to sit some time until I figure what "platform" i want to use.

Man Murray im really sorry to hear all the bad news you've had since the start of this thread seems like one problem after another.

Although they say problems come in three's i refreshed my memory and i think this is the 3rd major disaster with your car lol :-(

Kinda takes me back to when ur rear iron blew, i remember i told you that the same thing hppened to me and that i had my builder just JB welded the rear iron passage, then did the same thing on the front iron passage to the turbo oil feed line thus eliminating any chance for it to break as well.

In terms of your car man don't let it go seriously i look at the pictures you posted after the Equips and the BC susp atleast twice a week. Your car is straight baller and gives a lot of people inspiration and hope that they can have an FC thats as nice as yours, me included.

My advice, other than what I've already sent you in PM's: Use this opportunity as a reason to upgrade.

Thanks guys and I am very happy that I am an inspiration to you all....that means a lot.

But you guys have to look at this "timeline" from my point of view: this has been my sixth motor in 6 years...granted the first 2 were from impatience and not slowing down and researching the rotary engine-- the others were from mechanical failure/false advertising from the seller and sensor failure.

If I was single with a very disposable income this little hic-up would be solved in three weeks but I am blessed with a great family, job and children that take priority and make money slim and most important TIME even less available.........so when I invest every little peice of free time that I can sneak away to wrench on my FC(which causes much turmoil between my wife and I AND makes me feel as if the free time I do get should be spent with my little girl BUT I always tell myself."this is FC is almost done...you will have more free time once it is built...broke in... tuned ect) . I research on how to build a motor properly, add AUX inj for safety margin AND tune it conservatively to prevent short life span just to have it break again makes me have to sit back and think of what I need to do to make my FC be a hobby car that is not going to require more wrenching then driving.

I am already researching an LS2 swap................I know you guys do not like to hear that but rest assured that like all my build this one will be clean and the FC will almost look unchanged given I will probably have to get another S4 front bumper due to my cutting for the FMIC. I even plan on running the exhaust into the RB mufflers.

The LS2 is 400 hp out of the box and with intake, mild cam and free flowing exhaust the motor will put down close to if not more then what this last 13BT did.

I WILL be parting evrything out that is rotary related...the EMS, the datalogit, electronics, gauges, turbo, DP, manifolds, motor internals IF someone doesnt want the block in whole, Injectors, Fuel system (except FPR) FMIC, twin power..........I mean evrything.

I would love for you guys to be able to have some of my qaulity parts if you need them AND they will be priced very reasonable. Ask anyone who has purchased parts from me, I ship and package very well and am a fair seller.

UNLESS someone can talk me out of this V8 swap and provide me some concrete methods to prevent this 13BT from hard breaking again.........please talk to me but I keep reading about studded motors STILL breaking and really I have figured out with our motors is it isnt WHAT will blow them up but a matter of WHEN they will let go

I really hate to quite but DAMMIT I just want to enjoy my FC....

Ditch the Power FC and Get a real EMS.

Just my $.02, I honestly think after reading your entire thread there is something amiss with your current setup. What you are going through is not right. And I dont think your datalogs are accurately representing what is going on inside your motor under load.

I started ripping the motor accessories apart today. I will have it down to the short block in a week or so. I will need to get some feedback if someone would be interested in the block OR if I should just rip it down to nothing,

I have for sure decided I am going the LS6 route .......so there is going to be a PART OUT thread very soon. Stay tuned for a link to it in 2 weeks or so.

PM if interested in anything BUT all little **** can wait until the FS thread please.

I have been known to buy entire part out threads, but unfortunately for you I only want your purdy intake manifolds and Dual belt alternator pulley.

I think going v8 is getting over rated, imo everyone is doing it. Why dont you just be different and put a mazda 3 turbo engine or a miata engine? Now thats the way to go if you build them both right you can produce good power.1.mazda engine 2.piston just a thought

Yes I am sure there are others out there that have had this happen....but in my case bro I have spent MORE time wrenching then actually driving in the last 6 years.

I know for sure that there are more powerful rotaries out there BUT I do not have a disposable income nor the time for another BS break.......PLUS you can not tell me that 400rwp and 380 ft/lb of torque is not gonna kick *** in a 2800lb FC.

A mild LS6 can be beat on all day and still stay reliable.......not saying rotaries cant but I am tired of everytime I redline a 13bt my *** is the size of a decimal point and I am SO FOCUSED on all the gauges watching parameters.........it is an old tune and I had my fun.
