Figured I would update:
Nothing too new....upgraded rocker arm trunions with comp cam unit, fabricated some new radiator ducting, added some hood struts and had it aligned.
The car is running fantastic and is still just a huge blast to drive given it has been a year and a half since the swap was completed.
Procharger in the future

Here are some pics from early spring

Hi all! Just thought I would check in. Things are well and looks like things are busy here. Went for a little photo shoot with my new Nikon last month and figured I would share here too.

I appreciate the compliment bud, it has been a "fun" challenge. After all it is the journey that makes it enjoyable.

UPDATE:

This is a little late but I figured I would let all you know as well. Back in September I did a cylinder head upgrade. I went with Advanced Inductions High Compression Ratio (11:1) 219cc Full CNC Porting Package on my OEM 241 heads.

All the details on them are here:
Advanced Induction - 219 cc GM 5.7L LS1 Head Package

I also ended up upgrading my injectors to Bosch 30lb'ers(more on these later ) and installing ARP head bolts. Some tear down pics:

Chamber design (AI's pic obviously but looked identical):

All back together and you would never even know I did a head upgrade...except for the black ARP head bolts

After the start up with no leaks and everything checking out good, I trailered it out to Spokane to the same exact dyno I used back in 2011 and ended up putting down 476 rwhp and 430 rwtrq. Nice improvement from my 425hp/417 trq last time I dynoed. Dyno Sheet: Name: dynosheet_zpsa0e452b4.jpg

Here is the video:

SOOOOOOO I get back home and didnt get to drive it for almost a month. Once I drove it around my local roads I was having some major fuel tip-in issues that were annoying the crap out of me. After some back and forth talk between my tuner in Spokane and Steve Williams out in Virgina, we came to the conclusion I had shitty injectors and discovered that I was sold chinese knock-off Ford 30lb injectors. BEWARE of TRE Performance, they are crooks!

Anyway, I ended up getting som F.A.S.T 36lb'ers BUT the problem with the injector swap was my previous tune was inaccurate now due to the injector settings being different. So I ended up just buying HP Tuners and started re-tuning it myself. Once I researched and learned how the GM system works and actually got to perform steady state tuning locally on a SUN diagnostic dyno (old school but fine for tuning up to 4000 rpm), I was amazed how much room for imporvement my "tune" had, especially the MAF curve and the speed density table

I got majority of my MAF and SD tune dialed to the appropriate AFR's in back in OCT of 2013. I was able to get some WOT tuning done but winter moved in before I could dial it in perfect. Come this spring I need to do some more WOT tuning and get it completely linear at a safe 12.5:1 AFR ( it was at 11.7:1 afr intially when I started WOT in OCT)

Once I get that dialed in, I will head back out to spokane JUST to use the same dyno and see how much more power I picked up with my adjustments (my butt dyno back it October indicated a power increase, especially when dialing in my AFR from pig pig rich).

As for this winter I have been restoring some odds and ends in the interior, like plastics and exterior trims (expensive stuff brand new )

Stay tune for more.

Nice update dude. Car sounds like it runs really smooth for a 500hp beast. Not too lumpy.

The car is beautiful and looks like a blast! Think you'll be over 500whp with the legit injectors and new tune?

Thank buddy! Yeah my cam is generally mild and I kept a 114LSA for idle reasons. I have dialed in my SD & MAF fuel trims very close now that at idle is has a great lobe from the exhaust, I will post vids of it this spring.

I am digging your FC development racing page btw Your diff mount is genius!! (Us V8 guys who retain the mazda rear end would love to purchase that)

Thank you for the compliment!

I may pick up another 8-14 rwhp maybe and as for being over the 500rwhp mark, I highly doubt that. The dyno I used both times was a Dynocom and they are known for being very generous. Most LS1 swaps running my engine set up put out about 445-455 rwhp on mustang dynos. If I ever get to the 1/4 mile track, my ET will give me an honest number on my power output granted I can launch quick enough.

I only used the same exact dyno as a tool to see my power gain from my head upgrade.
