I'm running both lines through the cabin, by the passenger side transmission tunnel and seat, then both go through the passenger side firewall, then by the exhaust manifold (there will be lots of insulation to prevent heat soaking the piping) and then to the front of the engine.

I am using a air bleeder valve at the top point of the engine/neck, then also an expansion tank in the back connected to the top of the radiator and the return line in order to constantly bleed the system.

I have already finished this project so I am just waiting for a sunny day to take some pictures and post them.

Cool stuff dude. I see you have the fan for pulling the air through the read from the back. How are you getting through flow. do you have any ducting in there at all allowing fresh air over the fins of are you just using the ambient air from in the car?

Good job.

Yes, I'm just using the ambient air from inside the car. Remember that in drifting I have both windows down at all times, and also a decent amount of air gets pushed through the windows when you are sideways, so the temperature inside the car should be relatively close to outside while sideways... This fan will move more then 4000 CFM, so I'm hoping all of this will be enough to keep the car cool. Of course I won't know for sure if this will work until next year when I put it on the dyno.

Honestly my biggest concern is that I build a proper system where I won't have any bleeding issues and there will be no air pockets.

I think you would change your mind if you were there in person hehe.

Yes, I haven't bolted mine up yet, but it would just connect to the neck of the expansion tank.

might as well run the overflow hose up out the passenger's submarine hole while you're at it ;-)

I made a little more progress this year towards keeping track on my rotary's health by adding an oil temp gauge

Here are a few more photos of the front-end. I have also added (second photo) a fan on the intercooler as well since it's a 4" core now. I really hope that this year I will have good water, oil, and air temps while drifting in 90 degree weather. I guess I won't find out for another few months

What's A/I lol? The IC is bolted to the cross beam that you can't see up front. We welded custom made brackets that come off the beam, and the IC mounts at the top. We will also be making some brackets on the side as well.

I also have a water spraying system installed to spray the IC using the old washer fluid/motor mounted behind the passenger seat. I will try to take some photos of it sometime this week.

you should ditch the water spraying intercooler thing and get a good water/methanol spraying system. If your worried about heat and running cool... then this is your answer!! AEM water methanol = Heat control and knock prevention!!

Yeah that is my plan for when I make 600rwhp+, until then I wanted to make sure my cooling setup for drifting was rock solid. There is also another great benefit of a rear mounted radiator, which is better weight distribution, lower temps in the engine bay and cleaner engine bay.

You have a shot of your passenger side front? Looks like those radiator hoses would make it pretty hard to ride shotgun with you :p

Man thats pretty cool though. May take a little to warm her up but I like the idea of having over 3times as much coolant in the car.

Any way you could have ran the hoses underneath the car using large fasteners?
