I don't have a good photo of the inside passenger, but I will get one for you when the weather warms up a bit here. We did try our best to run the lines so you can have a passenger safely, I would recommend not wearing shorts lol

Yes, it's about 5 gallons to fill it up now.

That was the original plan:

- first issue we ran into was clearing the gas tank, axles, diff, and most importantly the hot exhaust.
- second issue was the size of the lines... being 1.7" in diameter + adding the thickness of clamps, having 2" hanging from the bottom of the car is very risky in drifting when you can bottom out and possibly damage the lines.
-we looked at other professionally build drift cars such as Daigo Saito and Frederic Asbo (2Js with rear mounted setups), and both run same type of line through the car the exact way we did (we copied them :p)

It's winter here in Ohio, so there isn't anything going on and I can't drive it on the streets and I need to go back to Defined Autoworks in April to have it dyno tuned again. I will let you know as soon as I have some results.

I'm one month away from going to get it dyno tuned at Defined Autoworks and I'm super excited to see how much I was able to shift my torque curve from last year

- Reduced IC piping volume by about 50%
- Significantly reduced exhaust back pressure by removing the restrictive muffler
- Installed an HKS EVC VI boost controller (didn't run an EBC last year)

My dyno session with Defined Autoworks is on the 26, so I can't actually drift it until then. I will try to make the first Midvale on May 12th tho

Love the build man! You may wanna cut the rear end out, and tilt the radiator, so it gets sufficient air.

Yeah, that's the longer term plan when we decide to do a fuel cell setup. Until then, I'll just have to hope for the best haha.

Dyno tuning with Defined Autoworks tomorrow morning... keep fingers crossed, and will post updates with dyno chart and video this weekend! Not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous.

Awesome build, and good luck tomorrow!

Do you have more pics of the bar that replaced the heavy plastic bumper?

Have you been driving it lightly? I've been driving mine around the block to try and help cut down on stuff that isn't secure or leaking before I hit the dyno. Save some$$$. So far i've fixed the turbo Oil drain twice, a turbo water feed line, my DP v-band wasn't tight enough, Motor mount was un-equally tightened, UIM wasn't evently tightened either....had a vac leak on the rear most fastener holding it to the lim. Radiator Fan wires weren't fixed so they were swinging around waiting to fail haha. I Think your car is rad...and Love the Rear mount Radiator. I'm sure the added coolant volume alone will help keep that beast cool. Looking forward to see progress!!

Thanks! Also, are you asking about the front bash bar?

The car isn't registered or insured... also I have a fan instead of the rear licence plate lol... let's just say it will probably never see the streets ever again.

I've started the car every two weeks since we finished the new radiator setup... always let it fully warm up then rev it fully a few times to make sure everything is in order.

I also just did a 30+ second burnout to heat cycle one of my rear sets, and everything seemed fine. We've checked for any leaks and made sure the wiring is in good order, etc.

All I can do now is hope everything will hold up and there won't be any heating issues on the dyno. We also need to setup the new boost controller, so hopefully it will hold boost well.

^Sweet!

My car isn't registered as a road car either...I non-Op'd it about 6 months ago. I do however have Insurance on it. But There are no headlights, or front bumper, and only my rear plate is visible. 4" straight pipes don't really help much either. hoping today I can get to the Gas station and back =-)

Thank man!

Here is a photo of it on the dyno from last weekend.

Sadly the dynopack were we tuned last year canceled our appointment the night before, so we were forced to do it on this dynojet... making comparing number almost useless.

It did good, but with boost dropping off a bit at 6500 and running richer AFRs then last time ~10.5, I believe has to do with the lower power levels. On a positive note, since the engine hasn't ever been rebuilt, and I will be beating the stuff out of it this year... maybe this is a good thing and it will help it be reliable.

Bro, why was I only looking at your car on the trailer and not sliding around Saturday? I was really wanting to see that thing dominate the event But at least we had an FC victory, even if it was non rotary :P

Yes, this weekend was a big slap in the face for me. My differential welds broke off on the initiation on the bank of my first practice lap... after that point the diff was open and I was running the risk of locking it up and crashing. Once the diff was open, clutch kicks become dangerous as you don't gain angle... just speed and the car starts to understeer... not to mention that the diff wasn't locking on deceleration anymore; couldn't even do a simple doughnut

It was a very painful decision, but I had to stop and park the car for the entire event.

I already pulled the diff out yesterday, and we decided we need to replace the entire unit as so much metal was inside. I think we will be taking a part an s4 clutch type turbo diff and welding that... only properly this time (can't afford a new 2 way LSD right now)!
