It's about time you came out of storage and made an appearance. Rear End to be finalized soon, then it's onto the massive V-Mount and Custom Turbo setup. If it all fails, Full-Race Motorsports will have a manifold for me and the turbine housing will be a rerouted Externally wastegated setup. Haltech Elite 2500, IGN1-A Smart Coils, Borg Warner EFR9174, Injector Dynamics Fuel Pump and 3 Stage Injection, 2-Stroke Oil for OMP, Speed Variable Hydraulic Power Steering, 5 Lug Conversion, Italian Leather Interior, CDT Audio 4-Way front stage with Phoenix Gold Elite amplifier, and extensive sound insulation. This car is #BuiltForWar. A proper GT. #RGHTBrainDesign #FuckUpFixRepeat #FFRFabrication https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...955317f163.png https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...f355f228e1.png https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...1aae28c870.png |

Pretty stoked to see that all my calculations and hard work were right on the money. Check this out!

Pretty intense. :egrin::egrin::egrin: |
Guinness Called. First Person ever to mount Ray's Engineering Mazdaspeed MS-02s on a 1st Gen FB Rx-7.

Beautiful fit. Very snug. Will be even better once on the ground and a bit of negative camber at the front.

Thank you Sir! It's been a long time coming. Brand new brakes, NiCopp Lines, Black Oxide Fittings, etc throughout, then paint and Second Skin Spectrum/Lizard Skin Ceramic Coat the underside all next week. Turbo comes back from G-PopShop next week with its custom turbine housing design (they NAILED it!). Then it's onto the V-Mount and getting rowdy on the front end. :egrin::egrin::egrin: |

man, those ms-02's are going to look great on the car! black oxide fittings? from my understanding, black oxide is not very rust resistance...
The MS-02s look mean as fuck, and I'm very pleased to see where we get on the motor this week. FFR Fabrication and I will be pulling it, studding it, and inspecting the clutch. Just got off the phone with McLeod Racing and we cannot do the RST Twin Disc (Organic/Organic) as I had hoped. There's an issue with bellhousing clearance. On the other hand, they offered a MagForce Racing Clutch with either Carbon Fiber/Carbon Fiber or Ceramic/Ceramic for around $2300... ouchies. That's too much clutch for this lightweight application, and maybe OS Giken or ORC came up with a solution by now. I'll have to hunt down T56 swaps and eliminate the bellhousing issue all together, ahahah. The ORC 559 Carbon/Carbon Setup for the FC3s is about $1750 shipped to my door and meets the requirements of about 450ft-lbs of torque. I think I'll actually be over that power figure as I approach 600whp on e85, but I also believe that they are underrating their clutches. Had a chat with Skeese and MonsterBox about their Exedy Twin/Triple Plate clutches and that really should be the way to go, if they're sprung and have decent NVH for the street. This car is a Gran Tourer, so silence is golden. Can't have a rowdy clutch that ruins the experience. Work has connections with a few clutch and driveshaft manufacturers, so I'm going to take measurements on the driveshaft tomorrow as we finish up the brakes. Hy-Tech Thermal Coatings still hasn't gotten back to me via email, so they'll get a call tomorrow about placing an order for a bunch of their sealants/undercoating materials. |
Minor Upgrades in the works:
|
I'll just put this here... |
Sound Insulation/Undercoating Protection
Just got off the phone with Trish @ Hy-Tech Thermal Solutions and we're going HAM on the Rx7!
For Undercoating, we chose METAL SHIELD Rust proof, Insulating Paint for Autos, Steel pipes and tanks Ordered two (2) gallons of this for the entire underbody/fenders and hope to get 5-6 layers of the stuff. For the Interior, we chose one (1) gallon of the Aqua Prime w/ a 1lb Bag of Ceramic Microbeads which will roll/spray on to first prep the surfaces on the inside for ANYTHING. This stuff is designed to last the lifespan of the vehicle, so it's important to put it on carefully. Adding the ceramic to this layer wasn't necessary, but both Trish and I agreed, on a Rotary car, it's the way to go. Metal Primer, Acrylic, Stops Rust Corrosion For the second stage of the interior, I chose two (2) gallons of the SC1000 Sound Control Coating, which is some seriously BADASS stuff. I hope to get 4-5 layers of this stuff and really quiet down the cabin area before the SecondSkinAudio materials go in. Yea, if you guys forgot already, this is for Gran Touring! Sound Deadening vibration reducing coating A ton of updates on my Daily Driver happened this week too, but I'll save those for later. For now, enjoy the awesome information that I've provided you. Cheers! |

Time to bring this monster to life. The Integra is on the up and up, so now I can focus where it counts...on making more money so I can build my dreams. On another note, it's a shame, I tried explaining this to another (very popular) build with sponsors and I compared it to financing a car or mortgaging a house. It's not YOURS. "Dump all the sponsors and slow down the build to a budget you can afford. Its the pace you're building at that gets you into trouble. Make the car entirely yours, it'll be a better ownership experience and you'll truly fall in love with each decision and aspect of the vehicle. When you have to answer to others its a good time to reconsider your choices. You might have what you want, but I'd rather say that the thing was built by hard work of entirely your doing. You shouldn't need social media to bolster your dreams. You attain dreams by helping others reach theirs. So entirely eliminate the timeline. Just go at it as a paycheck to paycheck basis and work something out with ##### in which they get recognition for the fabrication/tuning. It's difficult to hear yourself over the voices of others. Fucking tell them to suck fireballs when you're done." |
FC Turbo II Rear Brake Caliper Adapters w/ FB Brake Lines are done. NiCopp Hardlines are done.
Ohh, and the underside is cleaned and primed, awaiting the Metal Shield from Florida. Rear Axle Complete and Painted https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...fff287473e.png |
Phoenix Gold Elite.5 Amplifier Mounting
Not bad, for something I designed almost 4yrs ago...it still fits with all the new goodies. Mocked up a battery and figured out electrical too. Looking good! Will you be doing something to replace the front tie bar you cut out to fit the radiator?

Yes, we're going to likely do a 1.75" round bar capturing the base of the radiator. From there we're doing a skidplate, underbody ducting, front fascia adjustable air diverters to balance airflow with some R&D testing, and I'm still figuring out the ideal locations for the dual FB/FC Oil cooler configuration in Parallel. The scary thing is my fuel setup, which is SO far out of the realm of the standard automotive world. Packaging is everything. The turbo inlet setup and coolant pipes are badass. Those will come once the supplies come in. VERY excited during that order. As with the 1pc CF DriveshaftShop driveshaft. |
Just wanted to show y'all what I'll be doing over the next 6 months.
1) Haltech Elite 2500 ECU 2) Bussman 31000 Distribution Center with Circuit Breakers and Relays (no fuses anywhere on the car!) for the Chassis Harness 3) Oversized Audiophile Grade Charge Harness and Amplifier Wiring 4) BlueSea HUGE Circuit Breakers for the larger engine bay circuits and fuel pumps All wire will be replaced with m22759/32 and a variance of Weatherpack and Deutsch connectors with these beautiful HDP20 29-pin and 47-pin connectors for the firewall passthrough.Flexo PPS Expandable Sleeving https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f4&oe=5AB7DB19Kapton Tape DR-25 Heatshrink Soft Insulated Tape for Interior I'll do the best I can. It won't be easy... Alarm Harness should be integrated as well. Interior Additions: SPAL Power Window Conversion Swiss Power Door Lock Conversion Toyota Celica Center Console Mounted Power Window Switch w/ Integrated Door Lock Switch AFR500v2 Gauge located in either center console clock or grafted into the factory gauge cluster. A-Pillar Mounted Greddy EGT and Boost Gauges https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...9a&oe=5AB71BE0 https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...b4&oe=5AFEB70A https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f3&oe=5A42CB8A 2nd Oil Cooler would be either in front of radiator or in front of intercooler hanging down (again facing vertically). Oil Coolers are run in Parallel. Cheers and Merry Christmas, Gizmo |
Looking good, curious to see how the S5 turbine housing performs. Did you port the manifold as well?

Here's a video of me driving my daily yesterday: |
What throttle body/pedal is that?

Build Update as of today, coming up soon. Just have to edit it and upload to YouTube. You'll see it tonight though, I promise.

There's a darn Ferd in the way of my progress, but it should be off the lift by the end of the week so we can start back on fabrication. In the meantime, here's an update for you guys. I know a LOT of people keep asking me about this on Facebook, IG, etc, so I figured I'd just show you my configuration in true form. This reminds me... I have like zero social media standing. Subscribe, Follow, Like, Share, etc. Any help is appreciated here. I can't develop more parts for the Rx7 / 13B without a customer base that knows about me, so help me to help you. I promise, MAGIC is coming soon.

As you can see, the width and height at perfect for my application, and it really doesn't "take away" anything from the appearance of the car. Excellent quality, and if any of my other cars ever need something like this, they'll have my business again. Ugh, now if I could only source a company willing to make a Kamei Front Lip out of Urethane and Integrate a Splitter on it for me... If I can do it for $400, I will. |
I think you will find that a lot of people want a nice urethane lip for their FB, I know I would

digging those vents. am probably doing something similar but smaller since I'm not a baller with huge custom intercooler. =)

Well, damn, that's a fuel system.

All my hard work with measuring and identifying new product choices has made this part of the job a breeze. It's NOT easy figuring out how to fabricate and design how this all fits together with great thermal efficiency! |
