No cage yet. I don't have a welder yet. I don't work at that shop anymore, and we didn't do street cars. racecars from the ground up. the cage was the car, and it had a fiberglass body cover, and aluminum floor.

I was sugesting have someone in bc ship it too you. I'm not sure on if it would cost more to ship it from here. or from bc.

but with that pic, and my car I can fab one up and I'll make jigs, to do more. the cost of roll cages is rediculos. I had 30+ welding certs (expired), I'm sure I could pass inspection. Now this may be a few months down the road. I'm looking at at least a G in equip to do this. But I'm planning on a super wieght reudction top secret sorry, and I'm going to need a role cage for sturctual intergrety and safty.

but I'm going for super light N/A and about 200 hp on a rediculous gear ratio. but I just got the seven new years day, and all my attention is on getting her running good, and relyable. I'm just about there, I just need to replace the radiator, and see if it stops overheating. rad is bad, but i'm not sure if its all thats the issue. I'm not commited to anything yet. I really want to go turbo, but don't know alot about whats involved. I know I need a manifold eather efi or a carb setup I'm more into blowthrough than drawthrough. intercooler, locked dizzy?? don't know about how to do it. I've had some bad *** n/a's built for acceleration, and handleing, but never a turbo. I drove a supercharged jag a few times. it was cool I like boost. If I had someone to teach me I'd do it. then go with a smaller gear ratio for 4.30:1 instead of 4.77. I was going to do another 7 turbo. IDK i've been going back and fourth in my head. It keeps me up at night.

Here is an update...

Made an undertray for the front end..... Using plastic sheet and the quick release dzus fasteners. It's 2 pieces but in this picture just the large section is in place.

I made this to replicate race cars to keep the air underneath from getting trapped and slowing you down.

I am almost done the car, but I still have some paint work to do which will take awhile.

The spoiler has been painted body color, Fog lights have been dyed orange to match the turn signals but I'm still getting used to the new look of them.

I've been spending alot of time with finishing touches on wiring and heat shields. I do have to make or modify my door panels because the rollage intereferes with them so I gotta come up with something.

very nice Jimmy. Glad to see those camber plates working out for you too! If you or your brother need anything else from Re-Speed I'm doing a group buy for us Canadian through him. There's a thread going on here:

https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-forum-42/anybody-need-any-parts-re-speed-com-876838/

https://www.rx7club.com/group-buy-center-69/anybody-canada-need-any-parts-re-speed-com-886835/

Does this mean I'm finally going to battle you on the track now that you're almost done

The upper intake is the stock gsl-se plenum, however it was modified to fit facing the driverside, port matched, injector bungs and fuel rail mounts welded on, and the drilled and re-tapped to attach to the runners.

BAC valve and air tube welded shut.

You have been a life saver! Thanks again for those camber plates..... And yes this year I'll finally be able to see you at the track!

Bwaits

I mounted them as my alignment guy suggested, he did my brother rx7 with your camber plates and everything was spot on. What do you recommend?

They are designed to have the shock centerline closer to the fire wall. This adds positive caster for added stability at higher speed. It is as simple as flipping the plate 180 degrees front to rear.

The only beef that I have with your car is the rear spoiler. Looks very out of place. Other than that, very well done car.

I know lots of people dislike the wing, But the car doesn't look right without it. I have the big bumpers so it needs something there. Plus it's adjustable.

I have some more plans for the car, but I think that if I want to drive it this summer I must hold off.

Tonight I will be adjusting the steering box (outside the car), so I can get that out of the way.

Thanks everyone for the complements

Hey openshot, I'll take some side shots for you....

why are you gonna redo your car for? Once you get some wheels your car will look perfect.

i find the side skirt and rear bumper are to flat and i want to bring the bottom body line back more of a drift look. We did not have a metal bender so the sides are not that good you can see it up close but now i have my G2 and my Honda i can bring the metal to my old school and bend the metal. i can now get 17inch rims with the 4X110 it will cost me under $2000 that is with tires and drilled.

open shot,

If you get the gsl-se front suspension and the rear end, the you could use the 114.3x4 bolt pattern... lots of wheels to choose from.

You get the bonus of bigger brakes and LSD.... and for cheap! You could do the swap and get used wheels both for under 1000 bucks.

500 approx for the suspension
500 for used wheels....

DONE
