man, that's a nice setup, what coilovers are those? I dig the RUF rims, is that a RUF brake setup as well?

The coilovers are ground control, the brakes are 2 gen calipers and wilwood 2 piece rotors with the aluminum hats.

Openshot, trust me you'll have your car ready way before mine! But if you are in the area let me know.

wow, great work. Why is your intake backwords? Did you make a mistake, because how will the stock intake piping work?

lol turbo intake plenum lol lol. Can you explain the manual brake's. Seems everyone is converting over to this type of setup. Part numbers and a writeup would rock!

That is the stock gsl-se plenum flipped around, so that the tb faces the other direction and it cleans up the ic pipes.

As for the manual brakes, the master's are tiltons 3/4 front and 7/8 rear. With a wilwood balance bar mounted to the stock pedal assembly.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOD UNLESS YOU ARE READY TO RIP YOUR DASH APART, WELD, MAKE BRACKETS, HOURS OF TEST FITTING.

Awesome progress.

I would recommend you paint over the radiator housing components. They are prone to rust. My top panel turned into dust. I got all 3 panels (top, left, right) from salvage and put 2 coats of Por 15 on em.

I know those panels look bare, but they are painted. I sand blasted them, cause they were pretty bad.

As for the progress thank you very much, I'm still abit far from start up but hopefully if I bust ***, it will start soon.

Acutally the Turbo is the stock t2 turbo, But mounted on a custom manifold...

All the wiring has been hidden behind the fenders, as well as all the brake lines. I tried to hide anything possible.... Those last pictures are pretty much the finshed engine bay, minus the intercooler pipes.

nice work jimmy. i just have one question. i take it that the injectors spraying into an open box will work? i always thought they had to spray directly into the runner/port to be effective.

The idea is that its spraying at the incoming air so it should atomize very well.

Rotarx7, the interior looks weird because of the flash on the camera but once it's all clean, I kinda like that colour, even though it doesn't match with a blue shell.

dj55b.... Yep still kicking around, Pm me when you decide to come down to mississauga... I'm usually at the shop on weekends. But I'll be heading to vegas soon so I'll have to take a break from this rx7 business. Are you still driving yours?

please, 14's is way too quick... I'll be running 16.0's down the 1/4 mile all day long!!

dj55b you've been pm'd

openshot, you'll be driving around way before me... I've got is started once already without intercooler pipes... but now the pipes are in which I'll post pictures of soon.

Now I have to pull the gas tank out once more, and start fixing the fenders and bumpers. After all that I'm gonna start making a set of fiber glass body panels. Header panel, fenders and maybe a hood. I would love CF but I can't locate any in my area... And I'm tired of paying for shipping!

i can maybe get you some deals on Carbon Fiber ... I'll talk to the team friday night

As for the 14's I hope he was joking about that ... I ran a 14.6 with my 12a NA ... had I had better traction off the line I would of been probably around 14.4.
