Last week I pulled the car out of the garage and pressure washed the entire underbody I used Castrol super clean and it did a nice job. I was unable to take pics because the water was dripping and I did not want to get it wet. I will add some in the next few days.

Right now I am waiting on the engine rotor clearancing from a-spec and then it is off to mazdatrix to get the rest balanced.

Slowly things are getting done. Sadly as of right now I do not foresee it making it to the Carlisi meet.

Well, it is actually the machine shop that aspec uses. So the wait may not be as bad. I hope. haha

Some work is being done on the engine.

Currently the half bridgeport is complete and the rotor clearancing is done. Next week the rotating assembly should be sent out to get dynamically balanced at mazdatrix. Once that is done the engine can be reassembled.

Here are some porting pics to look at.

This pic shows the bridge cut made by Goopy performance. This bridge is cut by CNC machine to make sure it is almost dimensionally perfect every time. This allows both bridges to be even and symmetrical. Note: the secondaries are stock in this pic.

A better look at the precision of the bridge cut.

Thanks to IRpizzle fo taking the pics and doing the porting.

So, you kept the stock port timing and added a bridge? Or, did I miss something.
Concept of more flow with stock timing sounds intriguing.

^ Due to the path the rotor makes in the housing the bridge drastically changes port timing. The stock secondary ports were enlarged a bit but not as far as some do when porting without using a bridge. This was to keep the bridge thick enough to prevent cracking.

Thumbs up Update

According to Rich and Mazdatrix my rotating assembly has been balanced and is back on its way to Dirty Jersey. Starting to get excited again and have some motivation to work on the car.

The engine blowing was expected. I still had 3pc seals in the motor.

LOL at the speedy recovery. Thats the reason for garage queen in the title. It has sucked not being able to drive the car much this year. I plan to make up for it next year.

Regarding the brap brap, I cant wait to hear what it sounds like. I will probably cry at first startup.

I went to IRP yesterday to pick up my housings and irons so I can powdercoat them. I also got a look at my rotating assembly that was clearanced by aspec and balanced by mazdatrix.

Stuff was packaged very well.

This is the mighty goodfella peering into and marveling at the awesomeness that is my rotor.

Also, due to my addiction to titanium I purchased these bolts to mount the front pulley to the front hub.

Once I powdercoat my stuff it can go back to IRP for the assembly.

The counterweight has that depression in it, mazdatrix just kind of rounded it off. I am really excited to be able to rev the motor to about 9.2k RPM when I want to.
