Hahaha John is just giving me some ****! lol I made a slow semi straight line right off the track after that ha and chilled for a good 2 hours before going back out.

A buddy told me about that! I wasn't able to attend - had prior commitments. I woulda been just a spectator this year anyways. No fun cars for me at the moment. Really have the hankering to get an FD though and going back through this thread isn't helping!

You planning on going to PG 14.2 on Sept. 5-7? That's the first weekend I'm hunting bear but I'd be willing to skip it for PG just to see your car in person. Also I'm headed up to your area to get some welding done on my sled trailer by that friend in Pequot Lakes and I'm tempted to try to get at time together with you to chill.

Yes I will be at the Sept. 5th-7th event! Auto-X and if they have the 30-130mph races. PM me your number and Ill text you so you can let me know when you are in the area. The MB FD has a LS3 in it and its FAST! But lol when I was going to race it I blew my main fuse top of second while racing him.

 

So after 4 years since I purchased my FD I finally blew my engine! So far I think its just a stuck seal but on Friday we will know for sure. I have have a ton of pictures leading up to the final stages of my mystery motor!

Decided to try E98! I love the consistency but it did not make any more power... Still think I will be using it next year.



I have my car all loaded up to head down to my buddy Roberts house who is right by the dyno so we could get the car ready.

I was at the dyno until 9:30pm... Roomates STI got tuned at the same day!

 

Soooooooooooo this is how the last racing weekend of the year went.... Me a lawn mower & a case of beer... Car blew up with in the first 5 minutes.... It was nothing with the tune I now believe since I got the car apart was because I lost Fuel pressure due to my FPR failing.. My intercooler was completely filled with fuel when I took it out.

Here is the resting spot for the winter... I will be rebuilding the engine my self with some help with my friends!

 

I remember you saying you wanted to port your motor this winter anyhow(I think that was you), what port are you planning? any setup changes? I ask because I eventually will get this turbo kit when the time is right, i.e. funds

 

Very light porting... just going to essentially clean them up.

 

Crazy that the engine went like that! Glad it wasn't during something really important. I look forward to seeing this build's progression!

 

Aw man, perfect time for it to pop though....at least it wasn't the beginning of summer. It almost seems like a trend on most build threads I have read, they go to the dyno and kaboom.
