that's really amazing work. Congrats! Love to hear your feedback on it once you fire her up again! how much did he charge? I may have him do my manifold in the future.

I have always thought FD manifolds were always on the high side for a not very complex configuration of 2 flanges, 2 shortish runners and (maybe) 2 waste gate flanges.

A 4 rotor manifold is another ball game.

I fully agree with this. I built my own manifold for my FD with about 150.00 worth of SS Schedule 10 pipe and CNC flanges. It was the easiest manifold I have ever made. The markup on them is crazy!

I feel like it's a niche market penalty when it comes to the cost. There really is not much to them and you can get a Honda, DSM, Nissan, etc manifold for close to the same price.

Looks very impressive. Sure looks snug by the chassis leg? I hope your engine is nice and rigidly mounted? Maybe there is more room there than it appears? Waiting for that fire up vid!! Eargasm!

How long did it take you? What was your overhead?
If it was that ridiculously profitable, why aren't you in business for yourself?

youtube version if you can't see fb link

Few notes:

125+psi oil pressure above 4k rpm

revving here to around 7k, blips at end are to 3-3.5k. It's amazing how aligning the pulses into the collector unlocks the higher harmonic resonance orders

I did it in my spare time and had a friend of mine that Tig welds finish weld it for me. I had maybe a day and a half into the actual build of the manifold and even built a jig in case I wanted to make more and refine my initial build. But that said, I already have a full time job that pays enough, I didnt feel the time and effort warranted the money I would make off of the manifold to make more than one for myself. There are PLENTY of quality manifolds from vendors out here.

I was expecting this type sound/quick rev from the falking our rotor here. Perhaps it has something to do with tuning or perhaps the 787b uses a superlight flywheel.
Pleases enlighten me guys.

So much better.

Amazing what a proper manifold can do for sound.

And lets hope it gives you the boost control you desire (which I think it should).

now it sounds like a 4rotor! congrats!!

how about a heatshield for the dump tubes?

you can make one that will mount securely with the intake wire clamp.

now it sounds harmonic, just beautiful

I respect your attention to detail and your quest to get exactly what you want and how you want it.

I salute you Sir

Thank you guys so much for sticking by and keeping the motivation up. Anyone that would like to go for a ride or is in the area and would like to meet up/talk rotaries, please message me anytime! Walker's work is doing well, car seems to hold boost perfectly, at least up to 6k rpm, staying below 8psi with 7psi springs. More coming, alot of work to do to get it on the track/videos.
