getrag is pretty gnarly for sure!

The MT82 is the current Mustang GT trans, and I think in the current gt350, and with brass fork pads and some other unicorn magic, Ben Calimer seems to have a solid setup. The MT82 is still quite reasonable right now also.

haha that's awesome. I thought the lamp posts were passingly very oddly slowly despite the engine noise. Sounded like you were going 100mph haha. Lamp posts looked like you were going 45mph

I bet the cops will pull you over and say, I heard you going 70mph in 15mph zone!

hahaha funny you say that because...

today, when we arrived at the unit, the property manager told us there were complaints last night of ducatis racing up and down the roadway outfront, and to let her know if we saw anyone riding a ducati through the property as she couldn't find on on the security cameras....

ummm... We didn't see any ducati's last night

Running amazing now on the 2x AEM 380 pumps. Much quieter inside the cabin. The fuelab is badass, but better suited for a sumped tank, and outside the cabin, way to loud on high speed. Doing a log here of EGT's, added a tad bit to the front rotor as the EGT's changed a little with the new manifold lengths. Still can't believe the power with so little throttle/no boost.

Flex fuel sensor on the way. Looking at flow chart calculations, looks like we should be able to nearly max out the turbo on these pumps with e85 for around 900-1000rwhp. Output is nearly 35% more fuel than the bosche 044 units and we should only need around 20psi boost pressure. May add the Kenne Bell BAP unit if necessary.

jesus chris, how that car rocks and yaws going 200mph... that would make me **** my pants. I think after about 750whp, going in a straight line becomes technically challenging/risky for me. I usually lower boost for WOT on street radials.

He was maxing out the Garret GT60, IRRC somewhere around 1400hp

Holds record for fastest 4 rotor in the world lol

So that wasn't enough so he went up to 4 turbos. They eventually ended up replacing the engine on their lexus drift car with this drag motor.

Now they have this motor in a Lexus making north of 1300rwhp on the smaller GT5533 at 35psi

Facebook Post

This guy is a real hero. So many crazy builds. PPort 3 rotor drag cars, multiple 4 rotors. All insane and all running. This same engine from the RX2 is still going strong.

The amount of power is just nuts. I literally can't even wrap my mind around even 20psi. Will be totally cool with a cool 10psi here lol.

What type of transmission do they use in this car. I noticed they only touched the gear stick once during each run?

Aren't those HP numbers low for a 4 rotor in comparison with a 3 rotor?

Well, 2rotor and 3rotor drag cars have many more years of development and porting options.

Example-
you can buy a proven Projay intake manifold for 2 or 3 rotor, look at what that engine above is running...

A box.

If there are v-stacks they are in the box and not the runners which costs power on forced induction.

Lol,

You're not going to get much more out of a single turbo on a rotary..... And the turbo engine isn't going to have the same compression/3 spark plugs/trumpeting intakes like the 787b.

On the other hand, running twin turbo's etc...tons of power left on the table. I think I recall him saying it wouldn't hold over make more power over 35psi on the GT60 which is why he bumped up the 4x turbos.

That rx2 is badass but after doing a couple of hi 6s it started having reliability issues and dropped back to the 7s for the next season or two. After going thru a bunch of engine parts they pulled the 4 rotor and dropped in a 13B which hasnt raced yet according to their fb page.

The Lexus is gangster too I saw it in Sydney. But it had problem too and broke the engine twice in 3 days. They had to fly center plates overnight from NZ to fix it the first time. I follow it on fb and it was side port, then pp, now back to sideport.

Hmm wonder why their building the engine with aluminum side plates? I was always curious if the aluminum was strong enough not to deform around the bearings at these types of loads.

Apparently, draggers are having success with alu plates. Jay runs RB alu plates in his 9 second, NA, 2-rotor Rx2

Ya ya I know I know....dangerous location lol. But it honestly seems best for airflow, and seems safer than being under the car where it could be knocked off, or in the nose of the car for a front impact. Just waiting on pusher fans for the front side, and stainelss lines/fittings to intersect the fuel return line. Initially thought to use the black cooler, but for some reason the silver relaxes my OCD. It seems to offset the asymmetry of the exhaust being on one side

Pumps are wired up staged now. With the addition of the fuel cooler, should be finally good to go on fuel heat and any potential cavitation.
