The front cover was custom made by Pettit Racing. I'm currently having it powder coated black to match the rest of the engine bay. I've seen the chrome ones available here on the forum though.

Wish I could remember. Maybe someone reading this will know. The one I saw on this forum was quite nice and had a rotor emblem cut into it.

Thanks. You're right on both accounts. Well the car dynoed at 480 RWHP at 14 Lbs. of boost. This equates to about 525 HP on a dynajet dyno (assuming a 10% difference between the Mustang and Dynajet) so that's not too shabby. Anything above 14 PSI though and the car experiences ignition breakup.

Trying to figure out what to do at this point. Drive it at 525 WHP for now and be happy or try to chase down why the ignition has an issue. Steve indicates MSD is going to release an ignition amp system in the future to help with this issue - the coils have an extra plug for this. As I'm not an electrical person by any means, the only other thing I've thought of is to tie the coils directly into the Jacobs Accuvolt unit on the car and see if this helps. As you can turn up the supplied voltage up to over 17 volts, I would think this would help but we'll see what Steve has to say.

Other than this, Gotham is working on completing a few other punch list items, including venting the hood. I'll call them mid next week to figure out how to get the car back.

525 at 14 psi isn't too shabby, I'll bet the car will be a blast to drive

I hope you keep all your receipts. All the expense you've incurred (or loss) has to fall under some sort of tax deduction/reimbursement.

I keep all of my reciepts in case I have to do battle with the insurance company. As for a tax deduction/reimburesment, I wish it was possible but it's not.

This one is okay but not the one I recall here on the forum. The one on the forum was polished aluminum and had a rotor symbol on it - very trick.

^^FYI - Unless those things are sealed to the radiator, it does very little or nothing at all to promote air flow through the radiator. That ebay piece just looks like a bling adder. Max Cooper had some very nice pics of some ducting to his radiator when using a FMIC in the Single Turbo section iirc.

That is a nice big fat number David. I'd be itching to take deliver and drive her. Good luck.

Similar voltage issues. When the giant aeromotive starts going the voltage starts to play tricks...looking into it as we speak.

Ramy,

Where can you buy a high quality "shroud"? Did you see the one with the rotor cut into it?

Maybe Ramy can help. I've tried searching for everything I can think of and can't find the one I remembered on this forum.

On another note, I'm currently chasing a solution to my voltage issue. A forum member recommended the M&W pro16 ignition amp. M&W has a wiring schematic specifically for the 3 rotor so they have experience in the rotary world. Not sure it will work with my MSD coils though. Waiting to hear back from Steve on this.

Outa throw an Autronic 500R on there for good measure.

As Crispeed indicated to me in another thread, I can't use an ignition amp unit with the coils I'm running. The MSD coils have ignitors built into them, thus they won't work with an ignition amp.

Spoke at length today to the M&W US distributor and a Haltech guru who confirmed the above. He recommends against replacing the coils with something else (I have a set of GM LS1 coils) and against using an ignition amp unit. Said the MSD coils should work very well on the 3 rotor application and ignition breakup should not be an issue.

He felt the solution is more simple, probably a dwell setting issue. We'll see.

I can get 'em for ya no prob. The prob is though, many of them have cuts/holes in them strategically placed for IC and other piping (ie they're custom made for a certain setup). If you're not in a huge hurry, gimme a few, and I'll look through the various ones and see if there are any that would suit your "application"

Thanks,
~Ramy
