Kilo Racing 3 Rotor FD Conversion

^ Kilo doesn't frequent the forum so that is not important to him. He does what he does regardless. On my work, we discussed ensuring it all works well but also has a bit of show quality to it so we shall see. For Kilo, it's the mechanicals first and then the bling stuff second.
And Jimlab! I miss reading the rants and responses in his build thread. That was epic.

Hi Steven! Good to hear from you. Once I get the car back, we'll then get something setup. Probably do it similar to the VIR event of a few years ago. That was a good time and had much potential.
Good to hear from you. Hope the car is doing well. I know you ran into some issues but I think I heard everything was good now.

Small non-engine related update.
As I am waiting on the car, I just completed the last (for now) of my LED conversions. A few years ago I redid my tail light assemblies and they are working great. A few months ago, I redid the front turn signals and posted up the results. Can't wait to get them on the car.
In the meantime, the only other area I had not yet converted was my center tail light section. Well, that is now done as well. Here is the result, one continuous center section of high output glowing red:
The light output is simply amazing. It's a total of a little over 800 lumens, an amount bright enough to qualify as a daytime running light (DRL). It's also fully adjustable based on the LuxDrive BuckPuck drivers I used.
Here is a shot of the unit which is inserted into the back of the center housing:
The LED assembly is currently test fitted into a spare center section and I will permanently affix it to my center unit on the car when I get it back, meaning I will slide the unit in and then silicone it in as well.
Here is a shot of the LED assembly I built onto a heatsink, with oval lenses attached:
Finally, I used diffuser film from Luminit that I tinted red to match the OEM center (removed the old OEM diffuser for this as I wanted the continuous solid glow look).
Really happy with the way it turned out. Think it completes the updated LEDs on the front and back of the car.

I did drive it rotary powered for a couple months before moving over all my v8 parts.

"The Light Man". Maybe a new business for me? Now that I am out of ideas for the exterior, it's time to replace the dash LEDs I did several years ago. There are some really nice, much brighter LED bulbs now available.
Think Dean felt a jabbing pain every time you sold something?

^ Too funny.
Just back from Kilo's. Things went well and got a chance to see the car and to install my LED projects. Also redid my center panel plastic with a pristine one purchased from Fritz Flynn. Swapped over my ***** and back electronics into it so now good to go. Pretty nice to have all the plastic tabs back and have everything screwed down properly.
I had a blower issue but that turned out to be a missing fuse. Interestingly the fuse was labeled as the back windshield wiper which I don't have but it obviously is needed by the blower unit.
I have failed on the Dale Clark hyper-flash CPU #2 mod so I have contacted Dale directly to see what I might have done wrong. It's also possible I did the mod correctly but with my front bumper being off the car, that is affecting the unit or it could be I have resistors already installed in my taillights.
My LED mod installs went well. I had previously done two mods, the 99 spec front turn signals and the center brake light. As the front bumper is off the car, I can't show you shots with the lights on but they function as I previously posted. The "white" rings glow as halos when the ignition is turned on and the outer lights are white DRLs. When you use the turn signal, that side's white halos turn off and the white DRL flashes amber. When you turn on the headlights the white DRL turns off.
Here are a few shots of the lights installed in the bumper. Sorry for the dust and dirt:
And a shot showing the finished LED center brake light as well as an interior pic of the LED assembly. I sealed up the unit with ultra black RTV. Note the factory trim cover fits nicely and hides everything. Also note we keep the stock lighting plug so the new LED assembly can be easily removed.
