Awesome build. Read your post on recharging your A/C, saw the V-mount and battery but didn't see the dryer in the pic, so went and read through from the beginning to see how you did it, lol. Your solution fits my needs exactly. I'm looking to convert to single soon and want a vmount and to keep the battery under the hood. I live in Texas so AC is a must. Glad I ran into this thread.
The RX-8 AC condenser has a built-in drier. Also, check out JP3's AC options, you can basically now get all new EVERYTHING but the evaporator under the dash and have easy bolt-on ice cold AC.
Stephen, you are a BEAST getting that car in one piece! I'm dragging butt on my car, it will be at DGRR but there's miles to go . Can't wait to see it again!

Thanks man!
Yeah, back then I had to come up with a way to keep the battery in the stock location and retro fit to the RX8 a/c condenser for my RW V-mount.
But now with @JP3 Motorsports having complete conversion kits it's a no brainer not to go that route!
Truely an awesome kit!

Yeah man... JP3 has thought of it all!
Thx Dale! I know you'll have your FD ready, see at DGRR!
Hey all....
Past couple of days as time allowed if been doing some 3rd gear pulls to dial in the tune.
My latest run(below) is 2400-7800rpms, currently hitting 16psi by 3600rpms.
Goal is to keep it @15-16psi on 93
AFR's are on the rich side down low, I'm slowly pulling fuel out a little at a time.
Thats a super clean engine bay! What turbo/kit did you use? Sorry if i missed it on a post somewhere
Thx man… love your build, that car is crazy nice work!
It’s basically a Turbosource EFR 8374iwg kit that I slow piece together.
I had the turbo on my REW swapped RX-4 at one time 👍
So I just needed the EFR IWG shorty manifold and down pipe that I picked up used on the forum.
Then made my own lines.

Reinstalled the a/c lines and then vacuumed/recharged the A/C.
it’s so nice to drive around without sweating your ballz off and not smelling that shanky exhaust…. LOL

I dont care what others say about this but a street car needs A/C especially if you live somewhere where its hot, like florida for example.
did you make your own lines? modified the oem ones? or made new lines altogether?

love your engine bay,
Thanks !
Yeah man, I cut up the FD and RX8 OEM lines then pieced them together and had my buddy weld them up for me.
If you look closely at the pic of the a/c lines you can see his welds
Another DGRR down! About 2K miles there and back, car ran great! So happy I reinstalled/charged the a/c for the trip
Great to see old friends and meet new ones.
As others have mention the weather was not the best for ripping though the mountain but it's still an AWESOME time!
Already missing the roads up there!
Quick pic for now ill post more later
Also..... that's Stevie driving on the Dragon for his first time.

Always great hanging out at DGRR with you! Crazy seeing Stevie ripping it up in your FD too, next year we'll get him up there in the 8!
Dale
Man, I'll tell ya...I DO NOT like being a passenger on the Dragon/mountains.... and it was not Stevie's driving, he was super cautious and very responsible.
I'm just not a big fan of being on that side of the car... Props to all the passengers up there!
Stevie was wishing he had his 8. Life lesson for him and there's always next year
Gonna post more pics soon!!!

Stevie and I driving up to North Carolina. We’ve done a yearly in-car pic for years so here’s another one.
Our usual Buc-ees stop in Warner Robins, Ga
We fill-up and get lunch.
I love that chopped bbq brisket sandwich!
My buddy (Tito) VR FD.... This was his first DGRR! He loved it!
Rivers End restaurant…. Our usual spot we hit up during DGRR. The cobbler is so good there!
Great meeting Jason this year.. hope to see him in his FD next year!! @DaleClark Jason, Stevie and I
Also wanted to say it was nice meeting Stephen G, Jimmy, Matt, Josh.
I didn’t take a lot of pics but here’s a few from DGRR!
Until next year!!

Steve, Back at ya my friend!! Such a highlight sharing so much that we have in common and meeting Stevie! Your car really is so much more gorgeous in person; caused more than a twinge of envy at times. In hindsight, I really regret not taking a ride with you while your FD was still a 2-rotor. Guess I'll just have to look forward to a 20B ride next year, hopefully, and it's progress here.
