This is just fantastic. I just read through the whole thing. Its wonderful to see someone taking the time to go the extra mile and put both quality parts and work into their car. I'm new (ish) to the Cape and I would love to see this thing at a Cars and Coffee. I want to pick your brain on a couple pieces you chose as I'm likely going the same direction

Thanks for the comment. I appreciate the compliment and want to sadly let you know that I’m no longber living on the The Space Coast. But now living in Saint Louis. There are several other owners in the area that have quality builds just as respectable as mine that can assist, recommend, and collaborate with.

Off the top of my head, Mark “digicar” Snellman, Raj Gohil, Steven Crandal, and Humberto Rivera. These four have a great knowledge of rx7s that dates back to 1997.

Thank you for the quick replies, constant contact, and the fast shipping. I received my cradle brace powder coated red today to stiffen the drivetrain. Wheel hop will be no longer and prevent the differential from cracking.

I plan to buy the greddy differential cover for the extra qt. of fluid cooling.

Engine is looking good!

Are you upgrading to a sturdier engine or did something happen to your current engine?

@Dale
as you know, this motor was from the montego blue rx7 that IRP swapped over to the chaste white.

The car was in an accident several years ago. But the motor was still strong. We just had a 10% difference in compression on the front rotor faces compared to the higher compression in the rear. The rear was perfect numbers on all faces as if it were built. IRP showed a concern that while the motor was out and they were in the process of studding the motor that we simply freshen it up. Especially since the car is in their possession, the motor is out, and we are producing over 500hp. They wanted to be certain I do not run into any issues in the future because they are simply tired of my money and tired of me lol.

Being in Queue is like being in the 9 circles of hell in Dante’s Inferno.

Not referring to Q in Star Trek TNG.

IRP has been frivolously working hard for not only me but For every one of their customers. The shop has pushed through the COVID—19 pandemic and stayed opened by abiding local and state regulations and mandates. It’s been tough not only for me to be patient with IRP, but it’s been more trying for the Company. I still wouldn’t take my car to any recommended Social Media Shops, who base their work on viewership and likes. While prioritizing their fleeting fame.

A fellow member and a friend of mine let me aware that a Mazdaspeed Wing was up for sale on Buyee. I took advantage of the situation and made it a goal to win the auction at a price I was comfortable with. So to all those that bided against me, you’re probably angry for losing, While my wife is angry for winning. I’m sure another one will pop up in the future. Better luck next time.

I needed a different exhaust that wouldn’t restrict the air flow pushed by the 8374. I had to remove the racing beat exhaust. In a quick search and a couple emails later, I was able to pick the Garage Alphas Prototype dolphin tip Ti exhaust. It’s a single piece catback! The revisions of their product will add a cut to the catback and create two pieces. It allows them to incur lower shipping and procurement costs. But since this one piece was already in NJ and close to IRP, all parties benefited. Thanks @ Matt and @ Jehan

Sweet parts. Who made your manifold? I fancy an 8374 with the excessive LIM, if I ever did.

@Narfle !

Hey man how’s it been?

The excessive lower is cerakoted while the Manifold for the efr is made by The Famous: IRP. It comes along with their Turbo kit.

The car has been at Irp since December so I’ve accumulated parts for it along the way. If I had the car, I would be driving it more then shopping for it.

Good, man. Thanks for the tips. IRP is solid, I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

I am an official Missourian or St Louisian. And of course, I’ll be coming up there when your area has a meet.

Taking the wing to a body shop to do some repairs and paint.
The paint is filthy but I’m not complaining because I would repaint it regardless. All four holes will need to be repaired and replaceD with a receiving nut. There’s a few minor small cracks but not structural.

Carstar auto body fixed the wings mounts because two mounting receiver nuts were missing. The other two nuts were m6 and by show of hands who have an actual Mazdaspeed wing have a consensus that the receiving nuts are in fact actually m8.
It has been repsprayed by Basf paint PT code.

Beautiful car Man! I just love it.

How heavy would you say the differential brace is out of curiosity?
