Jamin and Bryan will be coming up from Charleston and Columbia area, respectfully, this evening. i think they will be in asheville about 10 - 11 pm (depending on if they side track through bevard to drive 276 and 151 on their way in)
Are they rolling in their rotaries or riding Subys this time?

We won't be there this year, but thanks to Tray, my engine had great rotors for the build. The engine went in today. Hopefully, I'll be able to start it in the next day or two.
You guys all have fun and be safe!

Kentetsu was planning to camp out again tonight and there is 4 to 6 inches of snow predicted for Cherokee, we may have to send a rescue party for him in the morning!!!!!!!!

he has no contact with the outside world! so that could be interesting... but i have to, i'll jump in the 4wd and go get him!
Here's the Apple cake Jenny spent over six hours on, ( including two hours alone shelling pecans) only to leave it home on the counter! It sure made a good dinner when we got home.
We thoroughly enjoyed putting faces with names, and hanging with everybody.

Here's another pumpkin pic that some of you may also enjoy.

Nice pics Ray. Thanks for the brew Tim. The FB is tucked in the garage for the winter. It's snowing like crazy today.... Lots of work planned.
Anyone gets close to I-77 exit eight in va, we're nine miles north on the BRP in sight of mile marker 190, we'll put you up and feed you or even just meet and greet for a hot minute.

lol, I tried to post something yesterday, but couldn't get the forum to come up for some reason.
Anyway, yes, I have survived.
Got some snow Sunday night, some wind, a few rather large limbs came down near the tent, but they all missed me and my car. Oh, and I had to fight off a bear as well. Wouldn't have changed a thing!
When it came time to leave the campground Monday morning, I found all of the roads closed. The only place I could get to was back to Cherokee. It was back to raining by then, so the snow was gone anyway, but I guess it was still rough at higher altitudes.
Didn't get the chance to use my Michigan driving skills by sliding down a mountainside backwards while blindfolded. Maybe next year.
But I got back home Tuesday evening, and was right back at the grind Wednesday morning. Why must vacations be so short?
Had an awesome time meeting with those of you I was able to meet with. Unfortunately, my sleep schedule was messed up and turned me into a lightweight. I think I had two beers and then was looking for my tent. lol.
See you guys again after hibernation season ends.

Good to hear that you dodged the limbs, vanquished the bear, (gotta hear more about that one!!!) and made it home safe and sound. Im impressed that you did not whimp out and get a motel room!!
Was glad to see you made the trip
