Rofl, just tested my varicool controler in my car, everything was wired up perfectly. I checked recheck and checked again. Unit was getting 12vots but wouldn't energize the pump. Looks like I'll be going boost switch as well... That unit had never been used either

Me too, i just checked to make sure they were all about the same and not crushed down. The way the ground strap is made makes it difficult to gap with a standard plug gapper.

how are the IAT's? are you doing much street driving? Please excuse my ignorance im very new to the whole water/meth setups but is this a progressive system or how is injection setup? and how do the two jets (550 and 1100)work? both on at the same time in the pre-turbo setup or ran seperately in a staged setup?

Just curious if that dyno run was based off of speed or RPM?

Dyno run is speed. Done in 4th gear.

Car sits on 205/60/14 inch wheels.

You can work out to see your self i am revving it to 9500rpm on dyno.

And their is no typo. The dyno registered a peak of 3230 tractive effort and my diff ratio is 4.56

You can work out the torque your self.

I will get an incar video soon. THE CAR IS FUCKEN SYKO and their is no other way to describe it.

As for ignition 2 crane hi-6 boxes and 2 lx92 coil packs on the leading only. FC trailing coil packs on the trailing.

As for IAT they stay around 45-50 degrees celcius on a power run and after a bit of cruising come down to 30-35 degrees.

Right now both jets are switching on at the same time but when and if a new ecu is purchased i will put two high speed valves and map it out properly.

Hmmm makes me curious about the flaws in my setup...single disc clutch I already know is going to fail eventually. (Aiming for 450rwhp), but I'm running 50/50 water/meth pre throttle body...You've really got me curious about the preturbo water setup...

At what speed and RPM were peak torque measured?

well then that's just insanity!!!

you must have to be above 100mph just to get grip!!

Yeah with tires that narrow it's probably well over 100 mph before getting grip. With partly worn 225 drag radials and 500-550 hp i dont get grip until speeds over 100 mph. I cant imagine another 200hp and narrower tires. Although maybe the extra sidewall helps and slightly taller gearing? What rpm do you see 20 psi in 3rd or 4th gear?

I dont know what speed or rpm the peak torque was at. I didnt correctly graph the torque. Well see if i can redo it when i go back for some more tuning.

The car needs to be over 125mph to get traction. Anything under then and it fries the tyres to death.

Going to try it in the next few days on some mt et 235/60 street slicks and see what it feels like. Should settle down alot.

Spool on the turbo? The street slicks should help a lot (at first) but as soon as they start breaking loose the tires will be gone. Drag radials wear out fast as it is, add tire slippage and it's just pitiful. I'm getting wider wheels just so i can hopefully get some traction with tires that last longer.

Turbo spool is EXCELLENT.

600rwhp by 5000rpm rougly

I have around 12 pounds of boost by 4200rpm.

Who says a GT42RS cant be responsive. The right ports, and the right config turbo they come out spot on. If i could clean out the tune more in the low end with descent ecu, it would spool even faster.

I cant figure out a proper torque figure without knowing those things. I have a feeling your torque number is off. I'm sure the hp is there, but I think your torque number is skewed. Before you get offended I'm not knocking on you. I just know it's easy to get skewed torque readings when dyno'd by speed. If you get a good torque number post it up. Id say anything over 600ftlbs on 13b just turbo is doing darn good. Most land in the upper 500's with your power level, with a few breaking 600ft/lbs. even still the car will be silly fast. 4202's are excellent turbo's

^^That is true about the torque. HP is derived from torque and the multiplier of RPM's.

formula: HP=TORQUE X RPM / 5252
formula: TORQUE=HP X 5252 /RPM

That means you're peak torque would have to fall below 5252 rpms. Anything over that would yield more HP then torque. To have a Peak torque of 730 ft/lbs it would have to be made around 5050 rpms to make a peak HP of 701. The torque would then have to fall off to prevent HP from climbing higher.

Most rotaries make peak torque around 6500 rpms or higher depending on porting.
If peak torque is at 6500 rpms then the calculated peak torque would be 570ft/lbs and yield 705 hp.

Using 600 HP at 5000 RPMS yields 630ft/lbs. 600hp X 5252 /5000rpm=630 ft/lbs
In any case it's damn good.

You may damn well be right. I dont know. I only remember seeing the peak tractive effort after the dyno run.

You have to remember. The car has full boost by just under 5000rpm so it is possible to have the torque that low but in saying that it may be wrong.

I will see how i go trying to regraph it and give you some more info.
I may be completely wrong about the torque. Ill be back on that particular dyno by the end of the week hopefully.

officially looking into this, id like to know how exactly this system works? im assuming here a tank with a 150psi pump and plumbing to XXX cc preturbo mounted jets, what and where is the pressure controlled? stupid questions i know but bare with me lol

ignore the previous post as i had to re look into things.... stupid editing guidelines...

officially looking into this, id like to know how exactly this system works? im assuming here a tank with a 100 or so psi pump and plumbing to XXX cc preturbo mounted jet, and 100 or so psi constant through out the system. but is there a way to get a pressure sensor to activate the pump without the aux of a ecu or use of a GOOD reliable box? stupid questions i know but bare with me iv never put any mind to any wi system ever lol so correct my understandings if possible

My car is triggered via Eboost Aux output.

If your looking for a bolt in WI kit. Pm me. We are now using different kits that are alot better and actually more cost effective.
