Adaptronic S4 PnP to Autronic 500R
S4 PnP to Autronic 500R
I have a pretty much new 500R sitting on the shelf and plan on using it (Might as well). Question. I have a brand new stock harness and plan on the S4 Select PnP. This is to create a stock look. I do not want to cut up or splice a $1200 harness.
so any ideas how to run a 500R with the Adaptronic PnP Select ECU for an S4?
thanks,
Ian
Also stupid question time. Looking at the picture of the PnP how do you run a boost controller? Seems to me all of the connectors will be populated with the stock harness.

Hi Ian,
I haven't installed an Autronic 500R yet but based on this wiring guide - http://www.mrm-racing.se/bag/DFCDI%20BASIC%20WIRING.pdf - it should be straightforward i.e. ecu ignition outputs just go to the CDI trigger inputs respectively. However I couldn't think of a way to install it without cutting some wires in the factory harness.
I also haven't seen the board schematic for the S4 Select, but basing on the way it's usually done, the ecu's aux outputs (like the one you need for boost control) will be connected to pins on the ecu connector. If there's no room for the spare ones, then most likely there will be header pins inside the ecu that you can use.
Thanks.
