Fix for Cooling fan not working Adaptronic Select

Guys if any of you are just installing a Select ECU in your FD please pay attention to your cooling fans, make sure they are coming on at the preset setting of 185F, I had issues when I installed it 2 weeks ago the fans didn't come on.

I did a couple changes to the Aux Out and fans started working correctly. Here is the thread that I posted on Adaptronic forum if anybody else have the same issues.

I had the same problem and ended up using the same fix as FC3S1991.

Note that I left the Aux 11 set to respond to water temp. Auz 11 is coupled to Digital Input 11 which is set to electric load 3. This allows one to set elec load three in the idle tab to compensate for the load from the electric fans.

Anyone here using an aftermarket FAN? If so, which connector did you tap into? Fan 1 or Fan 2?

Also which two wires were tapped? Thanks!

Just hook them up to the OEM Fan connectors. No need to tap into anything. Just crimp on a spade connector and push it onto the Male positive and male ground.

Do you still have the instructions? Looks like my cooling fans didn't kick on. I installed a adaptronics select unit in my s8 and have been tuning with Eugene. The AC button makes them come on. 😁 Thanks!*

The a/c button should turn them on, that part is probably correct. What do your aux outputs and digital inputs look like?

Can someone post what was in the Adaptronic forum?

As you know, the forum is no longer available, and not even archive.org has that thread
