DamonB,

I too have ordered up an M2 Dual Tip. I'm glad the M2's quiet.

My 5-year-old Trust Sport catback has no muffling left in the canister...loud as hell. It's for sale if anyone wants a loud "race type" catback for $120. PM me at SleepR1

(listen to an NSX with a GRuppe M exhaust system, then tell me Hondas sound bad).

BTW, almost all FDs i have heard both in person and in videos sound like **** compared to the sound of an S2000, NSX, or ITR...IMO. so when you guys say "sounds like a Honda"...is that a compliment??

just my .02. sorry for the rant.
I don't think all Honda's sound bad. I think most people are talking about Integra's and Civic's. I've never heard an aftermarket exhaust on a S2000, but I've heard them on Preludes, NSX's and Civics.

I think they sound like crap on the Preludes and Civics (at least the ones I've heard). I have no idea if the ones I heard were cheap knock offs, or some expensive name brand, but I didn't care for the sound at all.

When FD owners are saying "sounds like a Honda", I think they are meaning more like the cheap ricer Civic exhaust sound. Again, I can't speak for everyone, as everyone has their own taste.

JoeD, just as you said, IYO that the FD's you've heard sound like crap compared to S2000's or NSX's, I feel the exact opposite as I'm sure others do. It's all opinion though, there is no exact science to this type of topic.

I'm not knocking all hondas. I have many friends that have some kick-*** ones, especially one dude that just ordered a supergarger for his spoon engine. I respect them. Anyway, I just don't want, or expect my rx to sound like one under any circumstance, even if it did sound better. I'm just defending my choice of car and exhaust system. If one likes the sound of a honda or ferrari, then buy one. I don't strive to make my car sound like some other make or model. It is what it is. Maybe I'm the only one, and thats fine by me, I like the sound of my '93 rx-7 R1 with apex N1 duals.

Oh cool, you guys got my vid to download. The audio doesn't do the car any justice, it sounds a lot deeper and raspier in real life.

you have to her them yourself

I was at the So Cal 7 meet yesterday. I thought Max Coopers car sounded awsome (Apexi single & RB dual), was pretty quiet but had a real race car sound to it.

The Blitz Nurspec was nice and about the same size as Apexi N1 (no dp nor mp), no drone like Apex.

The N1 duals was pretty nice (dont think he had dp nor mp). Wish I could have heard it some more. On this one, you can mostly see the pipes (the cans were way under there) and a very tight fit for the pipes sticking out.

I don't think a car has to be loud to to sound good.
I don't hear Porsches or Ferraris being too loud and the new Corvette C5 w/titanium cat back.
