-Wont start- ?????????????

I usually dont make threads like this but i am just out of options here..

I just recently swapped my blown block for a Jspec block.

problem. The car wont start...It starts and stays on for about 5 seconds at about 200 rpm and then dies.

I checked the following!!!

Compression- check
Spark on all wires- Check
Swapped map sensor for another stock-check
Swapped power FC- check
Checked all vaccum lines- check
Checked all harness plugs and wires- check
Checked trigger plugs where correct- check
new spark plugs all 9s- check
fuel pressure 42psi- check
fuel at injectors- check
checked for broken wires check
checked for wire harness plugs check
no fuel flooding

single turbo GT35r aspec kit/no power steering/no ac/front mount intercooler/re wrapped single turbo engine harness/all new silicone vaccum lines/ rewired fuel pump blah blah blah..
When the car starts for them 5 seconds it sound like a piston car terribly out of timing

I didn't see "checked fluids." Hope you find the problem, I too have a troublesome JDM engine, but when she works its the best.

what happen when you hold the throttle? Does it dies or does stay on?

have you check your map sensor? Is it connected?

Did you double check that you haven't swapped the primary injector connectors? Easy mistake to make and the results are something like what you're getting. Try deflooding and swapping the connectors.

How about the settings in the ECU? Did you swap the injectors from the old block?

everything is identical to my old engine except the block..
I have two power FC ecus that i swapped. one stock map other my old map.

I have done all the work on my car my self since it was 100% stock so i pretty much have been the only one who knows where every thing is...

its weird but i was thinking since i feel like its a timing issue, has anyone ever experienced the cam trigger pick ups behind the timing wheel ever go bad??

When you crank, does the PFC commander show fuel injector duty cycle? If it does, then your CAS should be fine.

Are you sure you didn't swap the lines for the fuel feed and return?

Jason def check your fuses and relays. I had a similar problem way back in the day when I first got my fd.

Car was warming up one morning then I heard the idle drop for 5 seconds then died. Tried to restart and couldn't then after a couple tries it did but stayed running for like 5 seconds at like 300-500 rpm then died. Similar to your problem.

Turned out to be a fuel pump relay. Or at least that was the one I changed and everything was fine.

Good luck man. Fix that car so we can cruise!!! Lol. Or maybe ill come over and help.

Same injectors? You didnt use the ones from the J-spec block? Is your ISC deleted? If not try it unplugged, if it is unplugged already plug it in. Have you checked your TPS settings with the PFC? Will it stay running if you apply throttle? If it will look at see what the vacuum is doing.

I had a very similar issue recently, except my car would run fine if I set idle above 1000 rpms. If I tried to set it to 800 rpms it would drop down to around 4-500 rpms after a couple seconds and pull horrible vacuum. The secondary injector for the front rotor had a small constant leak into the engine.

Check your CAS connectors, white connector goes on top, grey to the right of it.

Make sure the trigger wheel is not bent, and that the CAS sensors themselves are not cracked. We recently got a blown engine in from a customer where the mounting tab was broken off allowing the sensor to flop around in the bracket.

^^^^^ this is the one thing I was thinking about. The connectors are correct but I have a feeling for some weird reason the JSPEC cas went bad. This and the timing wheel are the only things I didn't replace from my old motor
