Why God, why?
Why won't my car boost good past 5krpm? I is competely fine until 5k, then it starts hesitating, and stuttering. I bought a set of sparkers I'm gonna throw in tomorrow. really annoying. Any body ever have problems like this?

Do you have a boost gauge? What're the readings? Are you stock? Single turbo? non seq? It could be a boost leak, could be your secondary turbo not working properly (it turns on at about 4.5k rpms). How many miles etc?

yes I have a boost gauge, it reads 10psi even while it's stuttering. stock turbos, only about 30k miles on them. I noticed the vacuum line on my charge relief valve looks real nasty...The chassis has 97k on it.

With those mods I seriously recommend you get some fuel management... You should be getting boost creep. Does it happen in all gears? You may be running the injector duty too high, could also be fouled plugs. If it's stuttering it's either flooding or running lean, but probably flooding cuz if it was lean it'd probably detonate...

I'll look into a fuel computer, and change out the plugs tomorrow. Thanks. I think it's running really rich, I can sometime smell unburnt gas when I pop the hood or waiting for a light to change.

If you smell fuel at idle you will want to check your injectors also, you may have leaky secondaries causing it to run rich. You should also check your fuel pulsation dampener, which is something that has caused problems with rx7's in the past. If you do smell raw fuel though, not just rich exhaust, then you should really have it checked out ASAP and drive with a fire extinguisher in your car if you have to drive it. Seriously. Engine fires aren't uncommon with symptoms like you've got.
Edit: A fuel computer should be your next mod, no questions about it. The Apex'i PFC is a popular one. If you're running unnaturally rich now it's probably keeping your engine from popping... So unless you feel like spending 3k+ on a new motor instead of 1k on fuel management...

I'm on it, I'll look for a pfc tomorrow. I'll go ahead and buy injectors, what is a fuel pulsation dampener? I'm not really new to FD's but I've never heard that one.

What kind of mods do you plan on doing later on? Do you plan on going single, or running 15lbs or higher on twins? If yes to either, you'll want larger injectors. I think 750cc primary and 1300cc secondary? May want to search to back it up. The fuel pulsation dampener I don't know enough about it exactly to help ya out, but if you search for those words it's a topic that has been discussed a lot.
