Why don’t we have a Big FD Drag Racing Community like other Car Forums?

Recently, a Megasquirt EFI subsection was added to the Engine Management forums. Before that happened, there were probably 10 posts per month in the Engine Management forums, by different posters, all relating to the Megasquirt system. Eventually, all the threads ended in "things would be so much better if there were a Megasquirt subforum." I don't think anyone created a separate thread asking for a subforum.
It's possible that I haven't been looking, but I don't see very many drag-related posts, so why would the admins feel the need to give you your own forum? Vendors pay fees for their own forums, that's why their nearly-empty forums are still around. I think that if you can post links to 10 drag-related posts from the past month, you might have an argument here.
Does anyone remember the 3rd Gen Advanced Tech forum? It was created in reponse to people requesting it, then it wasn't used enough, and eventually it got the axe.

Like I already said, I'd like to see seperate forums for Drag and Drift. You don't have to convince me. Here's what I'm trying to say:
-The Megasquirt forum was created recently.
-It wasn't created in response to a "can we have a new forum" thread.
-It was created in response to a TON of little threads about Megasquirt, in both the Engine Management and 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen and Race Section forums, over the course of a few months. Every thread seemed to end in "gee it would be nice if we had our own forum so people would know where to find this info?"
^^I haven't seen that sort of buzz about drag-racing RX-7's, so that's probably why a Drag forum doesn't exist already. What I'm saying is you need to convince the admins, and I know that the people who are interested in Megasquirt have been able to do that. You might want to send some PMs to the Megasquirt moderator(s) and see exactly how things happened.

i read through probably 5.5 of the pages of the same squabble back and forth, i assumed the other couple pages were going to be the same thing but figured i'd throw that up just in case there happened to be a new topic brought up in the 2 pages i didn't read, its not like i read the first post and made my reply, i certainly read through most all of it and didn't see a change in pace whatsoever...

i wish you luck in your request, but like mentioned by a couple people above i really do think you should try going about this a different way... good luck
I recently wanted to post my new time down the quarter mile. I posted in the single turbo forum since I know no one would read it if I posted in the racing section. Hope it helps but I also think it would be a great idea. If it does not work out, it can always be pulled.
