i thougth i was goign to love road courses but once i did it i found out that i didnt. Yes it was a great time but it stresses the hell out of me. I have a high stress job....so adding a high stress hobby doesnt make sense. I like drag racing...it gets the adrenaline going a bit but doesnt overload you.

 

why not add the forums? what are the cons of adding these??

Bah. We have a Race section already. If people are drag racing rotary cars and want a place to post about it they can post there. There are many drag racers here but fact is they don't post much. I can't see how anyone can insist we need a seperate forum for drag racers when there few posts from them...

 

What are you so worried about? You act as if you have something against drag racing. Hardcore drag racers don't post here for several reason, 1 being that they have no place to post (Currect Race section is for Road Racing), 2 being that this forum is full of people that think they know everything.

 

This is exactly what I'm talking about. If we had a drag racing forum, the harcore guys know how to make huge power with ease. The currect racing section is full of people that are happy with making 200 hp.

I still see no legitment reason to not have a drag racing forum. The only people bitching are the Road Racing Guys who hate the fact that we're drag racing RX7's.

but hey i agree with lupe....drag racign section would be great. it would help to eliminate some of the clutter around the 3rd gen section on wheel hop or what times can i run with these mods...etc. But lets be honest lup..noone is making 600rwhp with "ease", man.

 

I'm worried about nothing and I have no issues with drag racers. You're insisting there to be a problem that doesn't exist IMO. Since there is not much drag racing traffic I don't feel it needs its own section.

So there's the problem! YOU are worried and YOU have something against the other racers in the section!

I'm not upset, I just think you make no point whatsoever other than YOU want a drag race section and you perceive that as some sort of slight or threat.

If all of the drag guys start posting and the race section is overwhelmed with drag race traffic I think you'd have a valid point. Fact is there is not much posting about it and therefore your case holds no water IMO. You refuse to believe that however and are trying to play the martyr claiming it's only because others (especially the evil road racers) don't like drag racers

I don't see anything you've presented that says we need a drag section other than you want one. There's no history here to support your claim that 1) there are (or will be) lots of drag race posts or 2) that you can't get a drag section because everyone hates drag racers. Everyone hates the piston guys and yet they have a section, so where's that leave your evil conspiracy theory?

 

How many times do I have to say this.... None of the drag racers are going to post or look for information in the currect race section. It's already been established that it's for road racing.

Open your eyes, it's not just me. 98% of the people in this thread have been for the idea of adding a drag race sub-forum. Doesn't that say something?

i would like to see a drag race forum, most other sports car forums have them.. the rx7 club must dominate!! we need one!!

+1 here too, I would not mind to see a drag racing section on the forum...since we got a useless lounge section that takes up bandwidth why not a drag racing section....

Im not a hug drag fan, but I do like to take my FD out to the strip occasionally, and IMO it would be nice to have a forum devoted for people to ask drag-specific questions. I think it would be advantageous to have a devoted forum for things such as this than to have to search for questions that may be spread out between 3-4 other subforums. What wheels/tires, suspension, body mods, etc.
