Weird idle issue

Hey all, question regarding idle. I tried searching the forums and even read dale clarks idle thread. Upon startup, my car idles awesome. However, once barely revved, it immediately jumps to around 2-2500 rpms and very, very slowly goes back down to normal idle. When driving, between gears or pushing in the clutch, it does the same thing. Fuel cut is also never engaging and it is always fueling. Xavier told me to adjust the tps. I got it dead nuts perfect after warming the car up but it did not change anything. Im at a little bit of a dead end and figured I would ask here.
thanks in advance to all who answer!

Have you tested the Idle speed control? You could try disabling it and see if that improves the idle problem.

Have you adjusted the idle bleed screw under the throttle elbow one turn from fully closed?

I'd check the throttle stop dash pot. Maybe it was screwed in too far.

Did you adjust everything on your throttle body to the recommended settings and remove the dash pot?

Yep everything is in spec. When i get time I plan on backing out the dashpot, tightening the aas, and checking throttle cable.. iv pretty much ruled out the other adjustments ang, isc since its not surging or hunting for idle at all. I do suppose the thermowax could be an issue but it wouldnt make sense why when the car starts it idles fine then only has the issue once revved(even after warmed up)

So after a long time I was able to fiddle w the car finally. What ended up being the actual issue was the dashpot.

My powerfc still doesnt recognize the car as idling, though, and shut fuel off. I will try adjusting the tps again this week and update the thread
