turbo/manifold nut replacement
The manual says to replace the four nuts on the studs holding the turbo to the exhaust manifold. Is this really necessary? They're not cheap and manuals often tell you to replace parts for no reason.
Thanks,
Alex
Thanks,

Metal fasteners exposed to extreme heat cycling fatique over time, lose strength and will not hold a torque setting accurately after they have been removed. The professional way would be to replace them.
Spending a few extra dollars to protect such an expensive part with the correct clamping force would be a wise investment.

Oh hell, they're definitely getting replaced at $10 a piece. Someone told me it was like $200 for just the nuts, I raised the B.S. flag but he seemed confident. Thanks for the info.
