Exclamation Turbo gone kaput

Well my turbo is definatly on it's last leg. This thing is shooting a sizeable amount of oil into my charge pipes. It's an Apexi RX-6. I bought the car with the kit in it relizing that it needed to be rebuilt. However, I have not come across anyone selling JUST the turbo. Alot of people are telling me that rebuilding a ball bearing turbo is very expensive. So I was planning on buying a new one. So... A few questions.

How bad is it to drive the car with the turbo seals the way they are??

Will the oil in the charge air negatively affect the car at all. (I know it will performance wise. I'm worried about it blowing up the engine though)

How much to rebuild my turbo?

Some info on the car.

1993 FD

Apexi rx-6 kit
Apexi hybrid FMIC
3.5 in turbo back
Tuned at 15 lbs on Power fc

Oil in the intake will not affect performance, nor should it damage the engine.

Describe 'sizeable amount' - is there a puddle when you remove the lowest intake pipe? Do you get significant smoke out the tailpipe when letting off boost?

Yeah there is a puddle, Yes smoke after boost, Not alot though, It's blue so I know its oil. I know it's the turbo for shure. Also blue smoke when I start it. Goes away after it warms up.

There is a good RX-7 shop in our area. www.jprimports.com that can help with repairs / mods.

/\ Good one! lol. I might add to that if I may...
Have you considered a different turbo to replace it with? Being that they're hard to come by and pretty expensive to rebuild? If I were you I'd look into something comparible to the RX6 with parts readily available and more affordable when that time comes again.

Thanks... I would just get another turbo. But I road race and this is the most responsive single turbo for an fd. I HATE turbos with long boost lag.
