mine is running custom single rotor, naturally aspirated right now because i broke it that way...

 

i almost won a 3rd gen in an argument with some stupid car salesman that swore up and down that the 3rd gen he was selling was nonturbo. i even pointed out the turbos and intercooler!!! he wanted to see cash and i couldnt produce it, if it wasnt sunday i would have gone to the bank and gotten a loan and busted his ***. he pissed me off when he said i couldnt afford to even look at that car. i cussed his *** so bad. . . pulled out my mazdatrix catalog and shoved it up his ***. then i had nelson mazda (out here in nashville) call his *** and embarrass him. . . i know those guys pretty well. then i called the better business bureau. needless to say, that guy really rumbled my belly. i wanted to choke slam him. whats even funnier is that i told his sales manager what had happenned and he said that i was a punk trying to pull some ****. i hate that crap.

Aftermarket - no (Although not very many people have run a 2 rotor non turbo in a third gen. I remember seeing a thread on here about one about 2-3 months ago.)

 

Hey rotorbrain you shoulda have him look in his black book and it would say rotary turbo, and since he said this one wasn't turbo then it must be a lot cheaper than that rare turbo model

 

i told him that it should have been cheaper. . . the guy said that the nonturbo was more rare. idiots. man, thats scary that salesman are that unlearned about cars. buncha jerks.

 

Just tell him that he is well suited to his profession and you hope he has a very long career at it.

Try calling a Mazda Parts department (just pick one at random). Ask for anything on a 93-95 RX-7 and nine times out of ten the next question will be "is that turbo?"

 

how about the dealership out here has a 93 touring and they replaced the motor on it. well, i noticed that the vacuum lines (the rats nest) were all left alone. they were all still very hard. im wondering if they even replaced it. i mean, really, what kind of a lop wouldnt be able to see that these hoses are trash? they were talking about how their rotary tech was very meticulous too. i just laughed. THEY NEED TO GIVE ME A JOB!!!! i cant believe they left it like that. they didnt even replace the turbos. IT HAS 90K ON IT AND THEY DIDNT REPLACE THEM!!! man, i cant understand how lame some people are. . . and, they have the gall to ask 16.9k for it. . . . WITHOUT A WARRANTY ON THE MOTOR!!!!! whats the deal with these guys. the car looks really nice, and all the interior plastic (the flat black coated stuff) is brand new. . . with a new paint job, but no warranty AND they didnt install new turbos. i may be a little messed up in the head, but i dont think that is a very good deal.

 

u have 60 some posts on the rx7 forums and u still dont know if all 3rd gens were turbo or not,and still dont know how to use a search function my god.to answer ur question,no 3 rd gens came turbo its only a big rumor that us owners dont tell u.u think u have a seq tt 255 hp just so u think ur fast.when actually the tt doesnt stand for twin turbos it stands for twin triangles.that roll around in sequence.
