Tire set up

Have a 93 rx7 stick height. What would be the better looking set up have 18x9 wheels +35 offset
thinking either 245/35/18 all around or 245/35/18 front
255/35/18 rear I know not a lot of difference but what’s the better look and do you see any problems.

If you're driving on the street, a 40 sidewall might be the call. Potholes will be absorbed much better and it might save your rims from getting bent.

/experience

Also if you square them up (all the same size) you'll be able to rotate the tires and possibly save a few bucks in the long run.

Tire set up

Yeah been thinking about squaring them up but thought 245/35 front 255/35 back a little taller and wider but probably not enough to really notice, not sure. Mainly road driven but streets pretty good.

Well, if you already have the wheel, try and figure out what you need to do to make the fitment work. 245s might give you less interference up front. Should be enough room in the rear.
I'm not an expert on this topic so you might want to check out the link above. There are various threads in the Suspension section on fitment.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in.

The difference in width from 245 to 255 isn't going to be as significant as buying grippier tires. If you can get away with summer tires where you live, something like Yokohama A052 or Bridgestone RE71RS in the 245 width will perform better than all-season tires or less-grippy summer tires in 255 width. And I agree that low-profile sidewalls are miserable, I would go with 17" diameter wheels if you can find something that is the right width and offset. Personally I'm pretty happy on stock wheels, but I'm tempted to get 17x9 or 17x9.5 wheels someday.

I would go 255/35 all around, it'll be perfect on a 9" wheel, and +38 will work fine. Then you can rotate. No point in the 245.

That's actually my front tire setup now (albeit on a +42 wheel, but I've put a 5mm spacer on it and it was fine). Roll your front fenders.

Personal preference but I dislike the rolled fender look and prefer the look of 17” wheels. I also like a wider tire over the taller wheel. And as has been mentioned that comes with some benefits on the street as far as ride quality and the safety of the wheel. If it’s an option I’d recommend selling those 18’s and going with a proper fitting set of 17 x 9 wheels that allow you to go 255 square.
