is this streetable

besides not having a/c, power steering, and abs is this streetable?

can you have you engine bay this "empty" (for lack of a better word) and still be streetable?

I don't think there is a law that says you have to have so much space taken up in your engine compartment. Why would you take out power steering and want to be streetable??

it looks like they removed all the relays and fuse box. Unless you plan on rewiring you car, I would leave that stuff alone.

From what I hear the PS really isnt missed my most. Maybe if you have some huge and heavy wheels but on the stock wheels they say as long as you dont try and turn the wheel at a dead stop your ok. If your going 1mph it turn fine with no ps. Also, people say you can "feel the road" much better with the steeting and its not quite so jumpy.

The A/C is personal preferance here in Alabama I really need my a/c in the summer

power steering and a/c in my opinion are a matter of opinions as far as streetable goes(hope that made sense). i have other pics of this car but i am more concerned with the way the engine bay looks. where did ll the fuses go, inside?, then never mind i don't think that s street able unless you don't care for passengers much. i am in the process of removing my a/c, power steering, abs, relocating battery, removing all seq stuff and as of yesterday the throttle mod (i saw fd3boost and jtimport doing it to improve tq and response). while i'm doing this i figure i try to get my engine bay as close to the pic as possible, just cause i like the clean engine bay look.

Looks cool to me. I don't think that FD(pictured) will ever over heat. Looks like a pain in the *** to do though. Where's the master cylinder????

Yes! Remove all that crap!!!
Save yourself some weight, clean up your engine bay, allow your engine to rev faster, make a couple more horse, never have to fix/replace those parts again.

It's streetable. I am more hardcore when it comes to what is streetable than most though... If I had the money I would drive a P-port on the street

anything is streetable as long as you can put up with it. Personnaly. I would never take out the P.S. or A/C, just get a bigger turbo and tune it. The ABS is kinda questionable, how good of a driver are you? The best drivers in the world can out brake a ABS system although its still tough to beat. If you do take the ABS system out, get a brake porportional valve.

BTW: It does seem like that's an all out race car seeing as you can see the rollcage comming thru the firewall and the windsheild being probally like that. Its kinda odd that they did not put in a strut tower bar although the cage might be making the car stiff enuf. Also, thats gotta be one of the cleanest engine bays I have ever seen hehe

I'd guess if that car is putting out much power it'll overheat pretty quickly. The fan on the rad looks small and there isn't any ducting from the rad to the nose (or IC).

Not streetable IMHO.

like others have said you it could be streetable, it really depends on what you think is streetable and what you will put up with.

I dove my fd around with no power steering for a few weeks and it was not to bad, but it seemed kind of slow to react. I was much happier when i hooked it back up.

but i think that is just a pref. if it was not my only car that i drive everyday it might be diff, but for everyday its nice to still have powersteering and a/c. I would love to have an engine bay that clean tho.

how come there is no coolant overflow tank (or whatever its called)? and i can't see where he ran all the wires for the fuse anyone have a clue? and yes i am seriously thinking about relocating the fuses as well, bu tit may require taking the motor out for ease of install.

I assume you don't have to worry about emissions where you're at.

post a pic of the outside a cop is not going to say pop your hood so i can make sure you have all of your pumps and electronics. as long as you have an exhaust, a hood, your tires are slicks and don't stick out of your fender wells and it is taged and has insurance, and has a vin # visible and a speedometer you should be alright.

any thing is streetable as long as it has lights all of them blinkers, brake ect.., horn, whipers, seatbealts, and cats. also if you have emissions it has to pass those. and street legal tires ect. if you buy a part and it says for off road use only ist illeagle to have on the street

Race cars typically have the ignition coils, brake master, clutch master, their reservoirs, coolant reservoir, all engine management, ect INSIDE the passenger compartment to centralize and locate the weight lower as well as allowing the driver to keep an eye on things.

I tried to simplify as much as possible and retain the turbo and stuff.

I dislike both P/S and A/C so my car doesn't have either one any longer. It's so nice to have all that junk outta there!
