Street Port (Pardon my ignorance)
Yes and No - you can buy a MAZDA Reman motor and then have it street ported. However you do have to dissasemble the engine to do so - but technically this would not be another "rebuild" because you would reuse all the same parts and no other machining would be required. KD Rotary works with a MAZDA dealer in PA (Malloy Mazda ) to do exactly that, they start w/ a MAZDA Reman and the build it up to your spec's.

Because a reman (most anyway) have all new internals for like $1900 - but if you send yours to be rebuilt then you might have to replace the rotor housings which can cost like $600 a piece - your better off starting with a reman and having it streetported. I know Malloy has a very good reputation for remans - at the time of my engine build, Dave said that only one engine out of like 30 Malloy remans had a used part in it - I think other places have been known to install used parts in a reman.

Yeah I would feel better startin with a reman vs. rebulding mine, not really worried about voiding the warranty, Im pretty sure I would do that weather I pull it apart or not
.
Ok this is what i got so far 1900 -2000 for reman, how much to street port?
