Starting Issues Help Please....
Folks,
I have a relocated battery in my 3rd Gen for a while now and had no issues. a week ago I had to turn my ignition on a couple times to get teh car to crank. I took my battery in thinking it was dead but it had a good charge and the battery was not the issue. Could it be a solenoid or ignition problem? I am not a good Rotary mechanic by any means so I like to hear from the expets if they had same issue and what may cause this. thanks.
BTW, my lights and console lights come on fine but dimm when cranking engine.

Does it crank after a few tries? Have you looked into the "click, click, start" problem?

I do have a slower crank than normal. So I don't know how the guys tested the battery....My battery is the interestate MT-MX-5. That is the biggest I can get I think in the storage bin....

As with all electric motors (other then new brushless technology), the starter motor in our cars has brushes that wear out, and can be changed.
Spend 10 minutes, remove starter motor and look at the brushes. Its simple to check! Dont throw more power at it. Fix the problem.

When you said this in your original post I thought maybe you had the infamous click click start problem. Slow cranking speed I would check into the condition of the battery and starter itself as suggested and all wiring and grounds. If you are turning the key and get nothing at all from the starter and then it starts cranking after a few attempts of turning the key then look into that thread I linked before.
