Exclamation Help identify air bag wire color orientation

OK so, i've been through the wiring diagram and I'll tell you Mazda sucks! /end rant

I just had my driver's wheel well air bag crash sensor connector get smashed by my tire after bottoming out on a nice bump/pot hole near some construction.

The connector on that side is the S-02 connector. It is described in the wiring manual as the D-Sensor LH harness. This connector connects wires from the air bag module to the crash sensor on the drivers side. The crash sensor itself has a pig tail that is probably 3 ft or so YET MAZDA doesn't list these colors anywhere in the manual.

the connector is the blue 3 prong and orange 1 prong combination connector.

QUESTION:
I need to know which 4 wires from the module side connect to each of the 4 wires of the crash sensor side.

MODULE side of S-02 connect is:
yellow wire (Y)
brown wire (BR)
black/orange wire (B/O)

black/orange wire (B/O)

SENSOR side of S-02 connector is:
white or tan wire (W) or (T) -- hard to tell if its just an old white or tan, i'd guess tan
red wire (R)
green/yellow wire (G/Y)

green/yellow wire (G/Y)

PICTURES:

As you can see only 2 wires actually run to the crash sensor. the Green/Yellow wire just loops around. I would bet these connect to the 2 Black/Orange wires on the module side of the connector but this is air bag **** and I ain't taking chances.

Module Side of S-02 connector (this is what IS detailed in the wiring diagram)

the orange part is completely gone from the connector and no trace was left but I can imagine the isolated black/orange wire was in that end.

what I'm looking to reconnect properly

ok so that should be pretty thorough. The easiest way I guess to solve this was if somebody had a crash sensor laying around could snap a picture of the connector and see what wires pin in to each hole. Or if someone has access...disconnect your S-02 connector in the drivers wheel well and see the wires orientation in and out of the S-02 (blue/orange combination connector)

ANY and all help is MUCH appreciated

my GUESS would be

Yellow connects to the Tan
Brown connects to the Red

and the 2 black/orange wires connect to the 2 green/yellow wires

but it would be nice to have a 100% confirmation before I possibly blow my air bag ;-)

I personally wouldn't mess with a potential cannon in front of your face by playing with wires. Simply a touch of 12 volts and bang. I have a replacement sensor and entire harness if needed from a donor car if you want to just go that route. PM me if your interested.

I'm master ASE certified so i'm 100% aware of the dangers and how the airbag systems operates. Battery was disconnected as soon as I was aware of the issue and I have since temporarily isolated each individual wire. I do appreciate your concern as the average owner probably does not understand the system.

I will keep it in mind and might possibly just do that but I was trying to just repair/make a replacement connector but like you/I mentioned, without a confirmation/guarantee of which wires of the sensor connect to the harness I wasn't going to even attempt it.

If there any way you could look at the sensor you have and see which pins the red and tan wires go to. This is really all I need. Thanks

Your welcome. I had the parts easily accessible and had the time because it's too cold to actually work in the garage. If I need something I'll keep you in mind. Thanks.
