Smoking

If the injectors are spraying too much. or theres a leak in the fuel system, would there be white smoke coming out the back. I smell lots of fuel. Right now my maps are loaded for 850cc injectors for primary and secondary single turbo. but i have the 550cc and 850cc in there.

It reaks of gas after i turn it off from smoking. its not an external fuel leak cause ive checked under the manifold and the lines for any fuel leaks.

Or is it cause the motors been flooded for awhile, and it has 1 mile on it?

Dude why. Set your injectors to what they should be. Is your car fully tuned ?

Exactly! You will run extremely lean if your injectors are set up that way! That wouldn't explain your other symptoms, how about giving a little more background on the situation?

Alrighty the situation. I went single turbo. obviously im not boosting the car. just trying to get it to run correctly. I had XS load the maps for 4 850 cc injectors cause thast what i plan on running. So, i bought 4 injectors. I got 2 cleaned 2 i bought off someone that said they have been cleaned. Turns out the 2 i obught from someone were stuck open. So i put the ones i cleaned into the secondaries and just put the 550ccs into the primaries.

Im obviously not going to boost on it. Does that really explain my symtoms/ so i should go get those other 2 cleaned ASAP huh. so i can run the correct injectors

Well, your first mistake was having XS load maps in without a tune. That is probably the entire problem.

Just reinitialize the PFC to it's base settings. That should change the injectors back to correct, and will put the map back to the default maps, which are fine to drive around on in non-boost break-in mode.

Why did you even finish the turbo install without installing the correct injectors? Now you have to rip a bunch of stuff apart just to install them. Isn't Steve Kan coming to socal this weekend? You should have tried to hit that tune session.

Oh, pulling off the manifold is no problemo. Ive been under there about 25 times now in the past 2 months. so i am able to pull it off in about 4-6 minutes haha. ya maybe i should reload the basemaps. til i can get the ECU really tuned.

XS mail order maps are utter ****. You would have been better off taking your 2 or 3 hundred dollars and flushing it down the toilet. I'm not joking.

i took it straight to them they work down the street =\

it costed me 150. ahh. so i unloaded the maps and went to stock maps...the car smokes less. but its still noticably...hmm...possible leaking primarys. since before the secondary injector seals blew out. and i never checked the primarys to see if they were okay since i installed them.

PMBUD,

no oil restrictor = smoke, and eventually (I have heard) it will damage the seals in the turbine (I have no proof, just heard) I didn't have a restricotr in my singal on my cosmo at first, and it smoked noticeably, especially when I got on the gas. Put a new fitting with a built in restrictor, and it solved the smoking problems.

My advice go with the stock maps, and babycake it over to this tuning session with SK and let him set it up for you (but get your injectors fixed first)

all it is is a fitting that restricts the amount of oil going in, in other words your feed might be a -6 but the actual inlet restrictor might be a 1/8" you need to contact one fo the turbo makers, or rebuilders to find out the size for a standard garret t04 CHRA, since the SS Autochrome is basically a clone, it should use the same size restrictions (approximatly)
