smoke on startup

i moved my car into the driveway to wash it today, and white smoke (probably oil) started to come out of the exhaust. i let it idle and it went away after 5 mins. the car was already warm from previous driving, and this is the first time that this has happened. should i be worried? thanx in advance!

if it helps, my mods are:
full 3" exhaust
FMIC
pettit ecu
kNN intakes

The last time I had smoke coming out the tail pipe I bought a new engine. Side seal leaking coolant. Hope you don't have the same problem.

Some smoke at start up is normal if the car has been sitting for a while. If the car was already warm and then shot the smoke, that doesn't sound good.

Did you run it hard at all the earlier drive?

Could have been some left over oil that didn't get burned off from your earlier drive. You didn't list a Turbo Timer as one of your mods. I don't have one either so I let my car idle for a little bit before shutting it down, try and let it burn out any excess oil from any spirited or highway driving.

My car was smoking like a grassfire at startup and for about 5 minutes until warming up. Dave @ KDR found I had a bad oil metering pump so I removed it and run premix. I used to also smoke like hell at startup after it sat for at least an hour after driving.

My car smokes like a $*&#^%@&*$%@ on startup. I took it to the emissions station the other day and it filled the shop with white smoke... I know it sounds trashy but it has done this for as long as I have had the car. I have the pcv removed if this has anything to do with it. It goes away after I drive for a minute or two. I think it has recently gotten worse.
