Could be your fuel pulsation dampner. You can do a search on it and find man threads. If it is your fpd, I would not recommend that you drive your car. IMO that is a fire waiting to happen!

Also, just because your engine has been rebuilt, do NOT assume that your injectors are good. Do you know if they were sent off to be cleaned/flowed?

Good luck with your problem.

I hope your not driving it. Or you will not need the heat in the car, you can just stand close to the car when it catches fire.

it might also be the O-ring. Cuz thats what happened to mine, first it was the injectors, then again it worked for a bit but later on, it seems to be the O-ring that needed to be replaced. Well hopefully everythings okie for yah, cuz i know how it is when the car lights up. It aint no joke buddy, get it fixed before u drive it!

Or if you are running full exhaust, it could just be the exhaust fumes you are smelling.
Mines horrible BTW.

I wouldn't even assume, go in there and make sure. When I replaced mine, it had a 2 in. puddle of gas waiting to ruin my day.

See if this helps:

I would try to narrow down the problem verses just tearing stuff apart.

What mods do you currently have?

You can have your stock seconday injectors bored out to 1300cc injectors by most Injector shops. This will not require any modifications other than programming to your programmable ECU.
