Slow windows?
Slow windows?
Has anyone ever had problems with slow window motors? Going down they are not too bad, but when I put them up its pretty slow if I do it at the same time. One at a time its only fairly slow.
I can't decide if its just lack of power (from where?) or just that the motors are 22 years old. Anyone ever have this or have a suggestion?
Thanks,
Dan

The window motors are much like the wiper motor...just old and tired.
If you want to go to the hassle, you can take them out and take them to an electric motor shop to be reconditioned. Not sure of the final results.
I'd go with jetlude's suggestion first.

I think I experience this issue too and it has nothing to do with the tracks (although a good suggestion).
For me at least, when I roll BOTH windows up at the same time the left one goes slow. Once the right window finishes (or I release the button for it) the left one gets a speed boost. It's clearly an electrical thing with the left side getting robbed of voltage in some way. Never understood what's going on exactly but it doesn't bother me that much since they both still work.

another user T-von created a guide to lube your windows, could be a lube issue or a voltage issue.
