Should I go from non-seq. to sequential

I'm heading up to KD Rotary Feb. 5th to have some 1200cc injectors put in and was wondering whether to convert back to sequential turbos. My car is lightning fast but I had these mods done while I went non-sequential (intercooler, hi-flo cat, street-port, Power FC) - I was sequential before this. I don't feel that lunge at like 2500 rpms like I did when sequential - I just get massive power from 4K and up but blah below that. I'm just wondering if I would feel insane power from 2500-6000 rpms instead of 4000-6000 rpms. Sequential is more fun to drive - cost between $200 and $500 to go back (higher number if wiring eliminated) What do you guys think?

Have you been running the car with the non-seq with the ported engine?

I really like the seq better for "normal" driving. If you are planning to track the car, spending most the time above then you should leave it.

I've ridden in a few non-seq cars, and they did not have that umph, even if they were slightly faster.

Or, I have a brand new set of stock twins; used for only a few hours.

No, no track time for me - just a couple days a week driver - mostly around town - and a few spirited sprints and races here and there. That's why I'm thinking of going back - putting around town and back road is more fun with sequential.

My non-seq conversion has plenty of low end lunge, maybe not at 2500rpm. But what are you doing down there except in first gear or low speed cruising? If you want that 2500rpm lunge and with that non-sporting type of driving style, then get an American V8 sporty car, not own a fine sports car like the RX7.

Why are you asking anyway? Do you know what you want?

I think there maybe something wrong with my car a times. One day it pull even pretty low and very hard up top and most other days it's blah down low and pulls ok up top. I'm going to get it dynotuned and see what's up. Maybe a failing coil or something. my plugs and wires, and fuel filter are new so it's not that. Hopefully I can find out what's wrong because there are days (few) when my car feels like it is sequential (nice low end - around 3K) Hmmmmmmmmm

I'm curious. How new are your brand new stock twins?

Why did you remove them?

Is the exhaust manifold complete with no cracks?

Barry,

If your top end is good all the time but only the bottom end is inconsistant, then maybe your fuel or timing on the PFC is on the edge between good as in still very safe and poor as in way too safe.
Then the weather changes have a dramatic affect more than it should. Go to the PFC forum and read my posts about fuel tuning (UEGO AFR) and my first dyno timing runs. With these threads are posted my different maps.
