Second turbo wont come on

I Don't think my second turbo is coming on line. I hit 11 pounds of boost, then it goes back down to 5 and just stays there for the rest of the time. Is this a boost leak? Please any help would be very apreciated. Sorry for the spelling. Its late. Thanks

probably not a boost leak.
check:
Charge relief valve
charge control actuator
and/or the turbo control actuator
it's probably one of these three things or associated soleniods/vacuum lines

if you're not sure what is what, look at THIS diagram for clarification.

Me too. I have a similar problem but, I have a differant question! I've had my fd for about 2 months. My black vaccum lines have small hose clamps on them. Is this normal, or an indication of a past hose job? The previous owner said he never upgraded them. I am the third owner.

If you would, let me know what you figure out on this problem (glenshaffer@msn.com) When I first got my FD I had all kinds of turbo problems. After lots of work, I have it down to just secondary turbo problems and it is exactly like you describe. Thanks!

If the vacuum lines have ties on them, then the hose job was probably done or the engine was probably replaced and they put them on at that time.
