Rx7 not running properly and cuts out on warm up and won't start

Hi all iv had my rx7 FD 6 or 7 years now and left in shed the last 4 years.. Started everytime I tried.. but one day as I was letting it warm up (running perfect) then just cuts out and will not start.. try turning it over but nothing check compression straight away.. I have a proper rotary tester 7.2 bar all around both front and back housings

I pull the plugs and there full of fuel from trying to start it so I said I'll check spark all is good their so I know I have fuel and spark and good compression

I leave it a few days and come back and starts up no problem but is running ruff I leave it running to see will it settle itself but then it cuts out again when nearly hot about 66 degrees it was saying on power fc so try start again no go.. pull out plugs and their soaked in fuel.. deflood again and same thing all over running ruff and cuts out when nearly up to temp

Its a stock factory engine everythings the same apart from pfc and air filters I'm stuck now and not sure where to look now any ideas?

Thanks

Whats your fuel pressure? Could be dirty/leaky injectors (pintles stuck open) or possibly a stuck FPR(?).

First off, you probably need new plugs. If you've been doing a lot of starting/letting it run for a bit/shutting down without driving it the plugs are probably fouled. They may look OK but they may have a weak spark. Bare minimum get 2 new leading plugs in there.

How old is the gas?

Also very possible you have a clogged fuel filter. Many times the car can start up fine with a clogged filter, then the pressure pushes all the crap back into the filter and the car stalls. Let it sit, the crap settles out and fuel can flow through again.

Cars that sit frequently have gas tank rusting problems, may have garbage in the tank.

I had the same issue...turned out the little cap on the fuel pump hard line had the smallest defect. It would start and cut under throttle or start and sputter out after a few seconds.
I cut the hat, ran fuel line from pump to hardline and issue gone. Took me 3 months to figure out. 🤦‍♂️
btw, my car had sat as well, but ran when I started it, until it didn't. Nothing had changed, the rubber hat simply warped.

Hi and thanks for your comment.. I haven't been at my car since to have a look but I will try looking at what you said.

I'm going to get a multimeter next and check over coils leads and voltage to fuel pump (fuel pump is hard wired) I still might change these parts for known working coils and plugs just to see and swap fuel pump
