My deepest condolences

Try hitting up the insurance company. You never know. They may offer to help you out even if it's partially... I've heard of it happening before...

Hey John I'm so sorry to hear what happened. But I am so happy to hear that you're fine. Damn that was one of my favorite FD's and I remember clearly when you were showing me you're freshly done rebuild at a gas station by the Holland Tunnel. From what you described earlier, it sounds like sometimes things happen for the better. Maybe the car was so loyal to you that it probrably saved you. I'm not a supersticious person but damn this sure looks like that. Sorry bro and remember the Club is not about the cars, it's about us! We will be here for you.

Sorry for you man. Let it pass, go onward now and get another Fd and start over. These cars are great and you have shown what skill you have to deliver a great looking FD.

Unhappy

HOLY ****! I can't believe you just lost your FD. I feel so bad, and wish it never happened, especially to someone like you. At least you are OK and didn't die in the fire. You should definitely take this to court, it's not your fault that the POS fire extinguisher completly failed. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully see you around.

Dude, do you know if you "test it" ONCE, it cannot be used again unless you take it somewhere to have it recharged? I learned that the hard way.

If insurance doesnt do anything for him, what do you guys say we make a rebuild fund? Mabye not money, mabye some spare parts you have lying around, anything that can help him get back into the FD. Mabye just 5$. I mean what is 5$ to you guys? 10$? I mean its nothing, just to help a good guy get back. He put to much into the car to just have it taken away that drastically. Whos in?

^^ You guys are one of a kind, I swear, alotta love and respect goes to you all for even thinking of sucha a thing.

I don't remember if I stated that the car was berried completely after the fire, I couldn't stand seeing it in that condition and both my brother and my friend Nino who came at the time of the fire, suggested that I should just let her go, so I took they're advice and towed the car to a nearby car-crushing junk yard.

I beleive the only thing worth saving was the exhaust parts, since they're made to whitstand the heat and dont burn so easy, besides the shell, everything else was burned to crisp or melted partialy, including parts of the motor, so she's gone for good unfortunately.

After all I have been blessed with your help all the time, not just now, as everyone else have who brows this forum, I'm extremely appriciative and feel lucky to be here between you and met you either in person or through posts of he forum.

Help me learn that you are doing great and taking care of your RX-7's, enjoy them as much as possible, keep more than one F.E. in you car and don't alow the same thing to happen to your car or God forbid to you or your families, that's the kinda help I want from you.

I know your pain first hand if it helps any. A three year full Gto widebody first gen Rx with over 3 years of time and money, caught fire from a injector o-ring leaking on the side of the freeway. SAME **** happened, the exstinguisher didnt work. I watched my car burn down wanting to cry, but only could shout with anger. After some research and testing ( I was ultra pissed as well) I found most small sized versions didnt hold their pressure for very long shelf life, and most stores dont sell large quanities. I since have only purchased the larger exting. about 6" in diameter, 18" tall. Big and heavy, but its the way to bring a rocket launcher to a gun fight. Again, sorry about your loss, good luck in the future.

Great idea!.... I'm in for $25.00... I am going to start a thread and ask a moderator to make it a sticky... I have a PO Box already.... For all those who want to help Gjon Gazivoda buy another FD, send a check or Money order to....

Gjon Gazivoda
P.O. BOX 112
Hartsdale NY, 10530

On the note you can include its a donation and receive a tax credit...

I will then deliver the mail personaly to him.... Remember do not send cash...
John then will start a thread of all the people who sent donations and the amount they sent. When sending said donation please specify if you want John to mention how much you donated or keep it confidential....

There is power in the internet lets make this happen!

Dwayne

PS. Any amount is appreciated....

Thats truly tragic man, I feel so sad about this I dont understand why. I remember you posting all those pictures of it not long ago, and i remember thinking the motor cycle looked like a bad *** and that the FD was clean as hell. Good luck in whatever you do, seriously.
