Quicker steering ratio

Are there any aftermarket upgrades for the FD steering rack? The steering ratio seems just a hair too slow sometimes. I'm curious if there's anything out there for quicker steering response.

You could always get a smaller steering wheel.

The steering wheel is only a small part of the equation. The steering ratio in the power steering assembly is a tad slow, IMO. It requires very early steering inputs to get the car setup properly on course .... I was wondering if there's an available upgrade. The bigger sports cars (like Camaro's and Supra's) have quicker steering ratios. C5's have variable-rate steering ratios that change with respect to velocity. If nothing, I'm curious if the steering rack can be swapped with another platform with quick ratios.

I use one of these. I can steer mad quick and I don't even have to put down my Big Gulp!

I would also like a faster ratio, but I have not turned up anything yet.

Imagine if you moved that black bad boy down to the arm near the horn.

I am interested also. I may remove my power steering but I can't decide. My fd is the only car I have with power steering and it is kinda nice. I do want the best setup for the road racing courses though.

i got an inspection recently and everything checked out. could be my alignment, but i doubt it. recently have been driving a s2000 and it feels so much firmer and responsive.

weld a new joint for the steering arm closer to the center of the Spindle so you can turn more/faster.

P.S. you can get someone to custom make you new rack but it will cost!

Me would also like to know if there is a solution to this issue... The perfect mod would be to make the wheels steer more at the maximum with the same 3.0 lock-to-lock steering band.

And in comparison with s2000, both have appr. same turning circle, with s2000 having 2.4 lock-to-lock compared to rx7ish 3.0. So it makes quite a difference...
