The stepper motor has a plug that connects to the back of the Profec to green and white wires. Then another set of wires come from the Profec which are red and black, those are for power.

thanks, but here is my deal -
i never had the fancy male/female connector that goes to the stepper motor. I had to splice the + and - to the stepper wires. Anyway, I had to take the wires apart, and in my damn haste, forgot to mark them. Soooo...
is the white wire + or - ??
Thanks!

So you don't know which one is white or green?
There are 4 wires coming out of the Profec, red, black, green, and white.
There are 2 wires coming out of the stepper motor, green and white. Those connect to the Profec and the Profec supplys the power when needed.

Yeah, I know there is the white and green wire coming out of the stepper motor. I need to know of those 2 wires (the white and green) - which is positive and which is negative -
I tried calling Greddy in California - those guys are F*****g idiots!
The guy was like "How are we supposed to know?" "Did you read the book, it says made in Japan" - amazing!

I don't know which one is positive of those two but you can hook up the power to the Profec and use a test light on the green and white wires coming out of it.

you're right - i should go work for greddy cause now i feel like an idiot!
i didn't read your response carefully enough. my profec sits in the bin under the stereo, and so the colored wires from the profec are behind, so i never saw it, nor thought about pulling it out and looking. sooo..
thanks for the answer!
my bad !
