Quick oil pan question

yea i was under my car yesterday and noticed that my oil pan isnt completly flat at the bottom. after looking it it for a couple minutes i can tell that some jack *** that worked on the car before i owned it more then likely used it to jack the car up. should i go ahead and replace it or do you guys think it will be fine. its not really bad but its defintely pushed up some. to replace or not to replace that is the question??

I have a similar situation, bought the car from someone whom I wouldn't say was an expert mechanic.......

My oilpan has a dent in the bottom, but doesn't leak enough to drip. I wipe it off at oil changes and don't want to go thru the hassle of replacing the pan.

Do a search on replacing it.........if's not the easiest job... requires pulling some chassis components etc.

if you're gonna replace the oil pan, definitely do it while the motor is out. even if you're considering it, just replace it while the motor is out...once you put the motor back in, replacing the oil pan is a PITA...speaking from experience of course

If it isn't leaking, you're very lucky. Don't deal with it until it is.... then either pish the dent out or replace the pan while it's being resealed.

You're asking for trouble opening up a non-leaking pan.

When you remove the pan, you'll be amazed at where
mazda put the drain plug and how much dirty oil is left
in when it's drained.
