I'm pretty sure they have removed the OMP (Oil Metering Pump) and are now premixing the oil/gas mixture.

Since you still have your OMP you do not have to premix. I still have my OMP I premix using Marvel Mystery Oil because to me it runs better and it should lubricate more. Majority of the people who premix does it because of the same reason as I or because they do not have their OMP anymore. It doesn't hurt.

Yes, the OMP provides oil to the rotors through oil injectors, because, unlike a piston engine, thats the only way to lubricate the apex seals (piston-ring in piston motors). Kinda like a big two-cycle engine. The car will typically burn about 1 quart per 1000 miles (my car burns more), so check the oil frequently (about every other fill-up). Some people prefer to remove the OMP and premix the gas, alot of auto-xer's do this. Some do it for reliability issues, no chance of the OMP or injectors failing.

Where can I buy this Mystery Oil, and what is the mix ratio?

I am curious what the ratio is as well for the MMO.. they have MMO at Osh hardware right next to my work. I know some guys that are dumping in Protek everytime they fill-up too.

It's really not neccesary unless you're going on a long trip, going to the track, or have problems ith your OMP.

That said, it doesn't hurt anything - just added expense.

You can get it at your local auto shop or Walmart. One quart is about $4. Just add 4 ounces to the tank of gas and it will extend the life of your engine. BTW, there is a noticeable difference in smoothness of engine.
